Unique container style resort was beautiful, quiet & peaceful - experienced Puerto Rico's nature and sounds & food! Jessica & Ruben were wonderful hosts & all of their recommendations were on spot & made our first visit to Naguabo perfect! Would recommend & would return!!
Our stay was fantastic and our host is phenomenal. We have some strict food constraints and she worked with us to make sure she prepared food we could eat. She was very inviting in letting us help her feed the goats too. The room is beautiful and it was fun to be in a little piece of heaven outside the rainforest. I highly recommend staying here!
Rubin and Jessica were great hosts and the breakfast was delicious! The views of the surrounding mountains were incredible! It was a very unique property but a great place to stay for a couple of nights if you love the outdoors!
Couldn’t have been better! Ruben and Jessica were exceptional hosts - very friendly, helpful on local ideas and almost always available via phone, text or just knocking. If you’re planning a beach trip, they have things to lend out - cooler, beach towels, etc. - if they have it, you can use it. Wish we had more days as Ruben’s breakfasts are top notch. The room and bed were comfy and you can't beat the views from the bedroom and off the balcony. Location is on the edge of the forest so lots of great sounds at night. Also lots of animals on the property including Bowie the friendliest dog ever, peacocks, ducks, chickens (and one annoying rooster, but only in the morning!) Be very patient with the hot water in the shower as runs from the main house and can be slow to heat up. And until driveway gets fixed a vehicle with more clearance is recommended. It can be tricky to find the driveway the first time - android maps are perfectly accurate, iPhone not so much. Thank you Ruben, Jessica, and Linda for a great stay!
A wonderful secluded place thats close to the city, beaches, and ferry but still gives you seclusion. The hosts are lovely and the breakfast is amazing!
On the edge of the jungle you will find a lovely quite place with fantastic people/owners who will give suggestions for places to go and eat in the area. The breakfasts provided each day were fantastic. You won't regret staying with Jessica and Ruben
The property and place were an amazing find and experience. The owner made this place special and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were great and if you want a place to unplug and explore some off the beaten places in Puerto Rico this is your oasis! Would come back again!
This Bed & Breakfast is a hidden gem. Very clean and beautiful surroundings. We loved staying here and relaxing.
The best part of the visit for us was the hospitality of the hosts, Jessica and Ruben. We shared holiday drinks and had breakfast with them. Fantastic, friendly people. (And Ruben is a great cook!)
We would definitely come back!
There’s not enough stars to give this place. Loved loved loved. Jessica and Ruben are the most kinds hearted people. Ruben throws down an amazing breakfast with the fluffiest pancakes. Absolute winner of a stay
This place is pure magic. We stayed 2 nights with our two kids (6 and 8). Very comfortable room. A symphony of rainforest creatures at night. Delicious fresh breakfast and the best company you could ask for. Great dinner recs. Our kids are adventurous and big energy and Reuben and Jessica were amazing with them. Highly recommend!
The owner, J, was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share. Breakfast was delicious! The plantains!!!
We received information about dining and recreation options. Distinctive location and accommodations. Right next to El Yunque and close to the coast and the ferries to the islands. Although this was a unique experience for us, we recommend this Airbnb for individuals, couples and families who are seeking an a-typical Puerto Rico stay!
This was a very unique experience. The lodging was a shipping container and we went to sleep to the sound of coqui frogs and woke up to roosters crowing. The hosts were so personable and the breakfast was amazing, probably the best we had during our entire visit to the island. They have a friendly, but excitable dog. There were plenty of lunch and dinner options in the nearby town. Google maps is accurate but it is still very tricky to find the turn off from the main road. Drive slow up the driveway.
Jessica & Ruben are exceptional hosts, the property is quiet and borders the southern side of El Yunque National Forest. We had a rental car which is necessary to get around and we had no problem getting to the north entrance of the rainforest. We preferred staying at this Beautiful B&B to see the real Puerto Rico, the peaceful serene location away from the hustle & bustle of the more crowded tourist areas cannot be beat!! A thousand thanks to Jessica & Ruben for helping us truly relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in the Naguabo region.
This place is a hidden gem. Jessica and Ruben are wonderful and gracious hosts. They are very close to ceiba (20mins) and a easy 1hr drive to the main area of the rainforest.
I should also mention the food. I think they got a little nervous to learn that I am chef. However their food is top notch. Unfortunately this is a bed and breakfast, so we only got to enjoy one meal a day from them. My wife and I would have been more than excited to have more meals with them.
They treat you like family.
It is an amazing property with phenomenal folks. We had a great time sitting and talking and learning about the area and Puerto Rico. We left not only with a greater appreciation for the country, but also a huge list of recommendations that are going to take us more than one trip to get through. You just cannot beat the experience of staying here. Both my teenagers enjoyed it, they said it was one of the highlights of our trip, so that in itself should tell you how great it is. Food was really good, and the ambience was so nice, it’s hard to overstate how comfortable you can be right at the edge of the rainforest. The night noises of the forest seem to be right at your door, and yet you get hot water and air conditioning.

Jessica and Ruben are great people and hosts. As others have written, Ruben's breakfasts are hard to beat, even in 5-star hotels! The property's proximity to the south entrance to El Yunque is a primary reason we selected it. Anyone considering staying here should understand that the accommodations are stylish but basic. All of the buildings are constructed from cargo containers. Jessica and Ruben did a great job making them as refined as possible, with marble bathroom walls and white plaster walls in the bedroom area. Because the single-bed rooms are around 10x20 feet, there's not a lot of room for 2 people. It's adequate, but that's it. The bed was super comfortable. And the private porch was very nice. Jessica said they plan to add shelves, towel racks, and hooks to help organize things (especially for multi-day stays). Please know, that because the hot water needs to travel by underground pipe from the main house to the separate units, it takes a very long time for hot water to arrive. This didn't bother me much, but readily-available hot water for sink and shower may be more important for others. All-in-all, we had a good time staying for 3 days and would recommend this to others. The nearest restaurants are a 20 minute drive. Red's Place and Danny's Pizza were great! A liquor store is a 3 minute walk from the property.
From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. Nestled amidst the lush Puerto Rican mountains, the views were nothing short of phenomenal. The landscape painted a picture of tranquility.
The hosts, with their authentic charm and enjoyable company, added to the magic of the place. Each morning, they served custom breakfasts that were simply unbelievable—a feast for the palate and the eyes as well, especially when shared with the resident peacock!
Being surrounded by such pristine beauty, I felt a profound sense of peace and relaxation. The goats, chickens, and ducks roaming freely made me feel intimately connected to nature, a feeling that’s all too rare in the hustle of everyday life. As night fell, the symphony of the local coquí frogs provided the most natural lullaby.
Although the accommodations might not fit the traditional definition of luxury, they offered something far more valuable—a genuine experience of comfort and contentment. It was luxury redefined, where simplicity and nature converge to create an unforgettable experience.
The nearby town of Naguabo was a treasure trove of friendly faces, fantastic food, and exceptional mojitos. And with so many attractions just a short drive away, there was never a dull moment.
Tierra Adentro is more than a bed and breakfast; it’s a sanctuary where the soul can unwind, and the heart can rejoice in the simple pleasures of life. I left with memories that will last a lifetime and a yearning to return.
A wonderful place, but suggest you have a a car with High clearance. The road is difficult to find & to traverse.
Great breakfast & Jessica & Ruben are warm & inviting.
Well worth the stay & a bit of adventure. They have Peacocks, baby goats n a beautiful place. Be quiet at night n the place lights up
Beautiful property, and absolutely wonderful hosts. Waking up and having a fantastic homecooked breakfast surrounded by beautiful rainforest is just amazing. Animal lovers will love it, since you'll also be joined by a dog, goats, ducks, chickens, and peacocks. Highly recommended to all nature lovers!
