The house is gorgeous. Beautiful views, a short walk over a dune to the beach, comfortable bedrooms, clean bathrooms, three refrigerators(!), and a big dining room table that was perfect for board games and puzzles after dinner. There's a great ice cream place about a half mile walk away.
It has a pool, which I didn't realize when I booked the house. When I saw it, my first thought was about my two grandchildren, ages 1 and 3. But the door to the back yard has a handle about six feet up, and a very heavy pneumatic hinge so that even if the 3 y/o could get up that high, she couldn't pull the door open. Plus a couple locks. So there's no way a young child could sneak out of the house alone to go swimming. The yard is fenced in, which our dogs appreciated.
I have only a couple negatives. One is that the air conditioning unit for the bottom half of the house didn't work. The upstairs was very comfortable. We were there in early June, so it was more like being uncomfortable than unbearably hot. But at night, while we were going to sleep on the middle level, we were definitely sweaty and using any covers. We called maintenance and left a message, but no one responded.
The other is that the wifi wasn't very good, and my son had several Zoom meetings he had to attend. The wifi worked well on the bottom floor (where there was no air conditioning) but was almost non-existent on the top floor. A signal booster would have helped, I think.
