"I love this historic hotel that was I think originally a monastery. The rooms surround a garden It’s in a great location , Hidalgo park and there’s a Starbucks next door. There’s a small pool on the top level that overlooks a cathedral! They serve a lovely breakfast in the mornings to get your day of cenote swimming or visiting of Great Mayan Ruins.For the cost you can’t go wrong. Don’t forget to go to Amaro for wonderful live music and diner. Right around the corner! Let’s pot it this way, "

"This hotel is well located, and has on-site parking which is a rarity around there. The staff were friendly, most especially the valet who does a wonderful job and seems to genuinely enjoy doing it. Room was good. I found near the entrance had a strong perfume smell, but was fine once you got past that. Other than that, they didn't seem to do anything about people smoking right outside (ironically right in front of the no smoking signs). I found I was allergic to whatever they wash the towels in, and ended up having to use my travel towel, but I'm in no way holding it against them, that's a total niche just me problem. Despite that, I have no hesitation recommending this hotel to others, and would consider staying again. "

"This is a very outdated and ugly hotel. The only thing good about it is the location. Rooms messy, lighting terrible throughout, AC noisy, dining room ugly and dirty."

"Liked the nice classic look of the hotel, it's really well located, the staff was very nice and helpful. The firm mattresses were absolutely to my taste. Parking required a three-block walk, which I found good for the exercise--it was easy to drop off our bags before parking, so it's not a complaint on our part! Worth it considering the hotel's wonderful position in downtown Merida.) Our only complaints: we would have liked washcloths and more places to hang towels."

"I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Doralba Inn in Mérida, located in the historic heart of Mérida. The room was consistently sptotless throughout my visit, and I’m giving full marks for cleanliness. The staff were another highlight - friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their responsiveness really elevated the experience. The swimming pool was a wonderful bonus, especially in the heat of March. It became my go-to spotter to cool off after long days of exploring the city and other not-to miss touristic gems Yucatan has to offer. The only thing that didn’t quite meet my expectations was the breakfast. I found the menu a bit repetitive, and it wasn’t the buffet-style variety I had anticipated. That said, aside from breakfast, the hotel met all of my expectations and offered great value overall. I would happily stay here again for the comfort, central location, service, and relaxing atmosphere."
