"We enjoyed our stay at the Oaks Casuarina Resort. However we feel general upkeep and maintenance of the property has dwindled somewhat over the past few years. Some of the timber railings and stairs need sanding and a fresh coat of finish, the roof tiles are looking faded and weathered in places and the spa surrounding tiles had some mould. The cupboard door to our room fridge didn’t shut properly, there was a stain on the rug and the dryer didn’t dry clothes/towels despite following the instructions carefully. However the room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. This is our third stay in three years and we were a little disappointed."

"Good location close to our local resident friends but room seemed a bit tired when compared with previous stay 2 years ago. Restaurants in adjoining Salt village were all closed on Sunday and most on Monday as well, so much for the struggling economy we read about …. you can’t make szz as Les or a profit if you aren’t open! “Ocean view” room is a bit of an oversell … view is completely blocked by the foreshore planting/trees"
