We enjoyed our stay, the host was extremely accommodating and had everything we need on site for a great weekend. Central location for fishing either Greeson or Millwood. Would definitely stay again.
We’ve been coming for Arkansas to visit family for over 20 years. This was probably our favorite place to stay. Loved the deck and river access. Beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Only thing I would change is some bunks in one of the bedrooms for kids. Overall very nice and would definitely return.
Very nice relaxing way to spend time with wife, son daughter in law and granddaughter. Enjoyed the house, the property, and the town. Only thing I can recommend are paddles for the canoe. Lol
This is the 2nd year for our family to vacation in the area, and our first stay in this wonderful cabin. River’s Edge Hideway was perfect for our kids and grandkids. We all enjoyed the cabin, the outside deck areas, and access to the river…. It was perfect.
Beautiful spot. Loved fishing from the deck and bank. Grill is under covered porch so we could cook though it was raining. Short drive to the state park. Our bed was squeaky and the doors noisy, so woke up during the night quite a lot but that's maybe expected when stay8ng with a group.
We didnt want to leave! We were so happy with our weekend at the cabin. The house was clean, spacious, and right on the water. We spend a large portion of our stay on the porch overlooking the river and watching the kids swim. The water is deep, so we kept life jackets on the kids, but they loved the rope swing into the water!
We will certainly be back, hopefully every year from now on!
Had a really nice time just getting back to nature …. House was nice, missed having a kitchen table and tooo humid to eat outside . The fall would be a better time to enjoy the great outside porch …. It is very secluded and getting in and out of river for the adults was a lifting challenging but the he kids had no trouble. Would definitely stay here again 😀
We absolutely love the Rivers Edge hideaway! It was clean, cozy and well-stocked with everything you would need for cooking your own meals. We liked that they had a keurig and a regular coffee maker as well.We had a great time in the diamond fields with the advice of Joseph at Mufreesboro hardware. We bought sifting screens from him, and he showed us some diamonds and other gems to look for while hunting. We will definitely stay at the river's edge again. FYI, our GPS took us to the wrong address on Dynamite Hill rd. Make sure you look for a blue canoe and old factory site Road.
Good for trout fishing and watching wildlife. There were 10 of us with plenty of sleeping space. The only drawback were the flies. I have never seen so many flies in one place before. We found a drawer with 5 fly waters. We found out why quickly. The place was very relaxing and peaceful.
I have a daughter who has 4 best friends that I consider family too and a son and a best friend…. We all got together last year here and immediately decided to do it again this year because Lindsey missed it cause she was giving birth!
This year I also got to baptize my son in the river!! This was a wonderful trip!
Only complaints were the mini fridge not working and the bath tub not draining very quickly. The owner was great to work with and very responsive. I’m sure those items will be fixed soon!
There weren’t any canoes or rafts, but the family dollar in town had plenty of floatie options if you’re not keen on packing those ahead of time. Spider webs were on the deck and walk paths but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a cabin in the woods. We had a great time! Be sure to check out the feed bin in town! Food is great there!

Quick weekend
My family stayed in the cabin for 2 nights for a quick diamond hunting excursion. We very must enjoyed the rustic setting with all of the comforts of home. We enjoyed being right on the river; however, the book in the house mentioned canoes and there were none there. We loved all the wildlife. We saw deer, armadillo, and several rabbits.
The one critique I have is the cleanliness. The house was generally clean, but there were multiple cobwebs in corners and on the ceiling. Despite that, we had a wonderful time and I would stay here again.
We love this property and have visited it multiple times over the years. They have made some very nice improvements, adding multiple layer decking so you can access the river. We just love it. Not far from Mt Ida where we live to go digging for crystals. The inside of the cabin has been updated with new beds and frames, which made us very happy. The inside of the cabins is always very clean and inviting. Be prepared to eat outside, as there is no table inside, only counter space. The outside is a different story. The new deck is amazing, but it was very dirty and covered with spider webs and tree droppings. I sent a message to the owner, as we could not even use the outdoor furniture. He said he would try to get someone to come clean it, but no one ever came. The toilet in the largest bathroom runs constantly and has for years. It is irritating at night when you are trying to sleep. Overall, the location is just perfect to get away and unwind. We caught Trout, Crappie, and Sun fish in the river, right off the deck. It would be nice if there were a few steps off the lower deck to get to the water so people can fish. They used to have a canoe that we used and loved on the river, I would suggest bringing one, as the river is very calm and relaxing. If they cleaned the patios, I would give this place all 5 stars. We will visit again and we will continue to love it.
This place was great if you’re wanting to get away from it all. When we looked up stuff about the area the grocery store the internet pulled up had been closed down. However, there is one in Glenwood and we also heard from locals there’s a Walmart like 30 minutes away. We like to cook when we’re away and go out occasionally. I do have some recommendations. It states that the cabin can hold up to 10 people, but there was only 6 available cups to drink out of. A plastic wine glass, 3 coffee mugs, and 2 glasses. It looks like someone has stuck a couple of the skillets in the dishwasher making one unusable. We did handwash all of the dishes we used as the dishwasher looked like it needed a good cleaning. There wasn’t a broom available to be able to sweep up any mess made. We made due as best we could with a mop to make sure the floor was ok to walk around without getting your feet too dirty. We loved the outside. The kids loved fishing from the deck. We were under the impression from reviews left that there would be a canoe, however there wasn’t. It would be nice to have one for future guests. Our teen boys did like using the canoe they believed belonged to our cabin. Overall, we had a great stay the minor things didn’t overshadow the great time we had making memories with our family.
