"Buckler's Lodge is located right along the Crocodile River. We saw large herds of elephants each day we were there. We received excellent service from the staff and enjoyed clean and roomy accomodations."

"The location is wonderful with game regularly visiting the river from the Kruger opposite. When we arrived, about a dozen elephant were wading across and hippo were wallowing. The rooms each have their own private terraces where fires are lit each night, and open up into a lovely common area where birds and the 3 incumbent nyala are encouraged. "We had the cottage closest to the dam. It was absolutely perfect, with the most amazing sunrise view from our bed, which the owner told us about otherwise we would have slept through it. Such a tranquil setting, wish we had more nights than our 2 nights, so we could have had more chill time at the property. Ideal base to explore attractions in surrounding area. "

"Nice friendly helpful staff, not the best view from our lodge it was sugar cane field and a petrol station. Sofa beds aren’t great it was like sleeping on the floor. "
