We stayed here as part of a family vacation with my husband, mother, sister, and aunt. My mother has an ankle injury so it was great to find a house with bedrooms and bathrooms on the main level, and easy entry through the front door. It was equipped with everything we needed, including some games and puzzles, and we especially appreciated having a washer & dryer.
The property manager was very helpful and responsive. When we couldn’t find a tea kettle, she brought us one within half an hour
The house is centrally located on the island so very easy to get to Acadia, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, or off the island, but in a nice quiet area. We were glad we decided to stay here rather than in Bar Harbor.
Only a few minor quibbles. Some of the bedroom & bathroom windows don’t have curtains or blinds, and there aren’t enough places to hang towels. There is only enough comfortable seating for 5 people in the living area, so it might be awkward for a larger group. Oh, and a few unwelcoming spiders when we first arrived, including one that built a web across the front door.
Overall, the house worked well for us and we would definitely consider staying there again if we return to MDI.
