Booked a king nonsmoking room on Expedia online. Get to motel and was told they overbooked and were we ok with a queen. Was told they would take $50 off our two night stay, which they didn't. When checking out, different lady, i explained the discount had not been given. She at first said they couldn't do that because it was through a 3rd party, Expedia, but then she said she would. It took 5 days before the first charge fell off and the new one applied but she made it work. She was wonderful. A lot of hassle for a very bland, tired old motel. It is clean though.

When I checked in. The person at check in asked what my purpose was for being there. Very awkward. I shouldn’t have to justify why I’m staying there. She explained why they are “required” to ask this question. But it’s really no one’s business why I’m staying in your motel. And after hearing the explanation of why they are asking this question. They definitely don’t ask everyone the Same.

One lamp in the room didnt work, the switch was broken off. The bottom of the tub was dirty. Breakfast was cold, very little food and hotel staff was helping themselves to the food.

Very close to town, stores, restaurants. Staff was very helpful when checking in of what to see, map of area and how to get into town, what to do. Breakfast was great!

Service was terrible lady when we checked in was rude.Asked for a non smoking room and she didn’t even look to see if there was one available.She said that’s what you get for booking online.They didn’t clean room after the first night.We had to go to the office and get towels and wash clothes.They did clean room after 2nd night but we had to ask.Will never stay again and will not recommend to anyone.

We had to go to the office and ask for toilet paper as there was very on the roll in our room. The man in the room next to us smoked so much weed that we thought we were going to get high on the fumes!! In the morning, we had to go to the front desk and tell them the hot tray was totally out of breakfast items. I am not sure if the clerk was on her phone or not, but she was totally unaware of the need because she hadn't checked. But in general the room is convenient to what we wanted to do in Mt Airy. This was our second stay here and the first experience was much better.

We are very upset. We were kept up through the night with loud noises and the condition of the facility was horrible. It stunk and icky. We didn’t stay the second night. Because of the bad condition of our room.And we didn’t get a refund either. Very upset with Expedia because they said they would let the property manager know. But didn’t… also the lady at the office said good luck about getting a refund, please make this right and refund our money that we spent on this horrible place to stay.
