We convened on this property due to getting married in Mount Airy. We travelled from OK, while we had family traveling from VA, PA and NY. Pros: Gorgeous home. Good sleeping arrangements. Comfortable furniture. Accessible to groceries, liquor store, food, I-70. We had wifi so family could work while we were there. Cons: We are a big cooking family; There was no pasta strainer or cheese grater (we purchased and left in the residence). The knives are dangerously dull with nothing to sharpen them. We were notified a few days before travel of construction AT the intersection where the residence is; Not pleasant for wedding weekend and attempting to get our 5 month old to nap. Hopefully future renters can receive some sort of discount for the interruption and inconvenience. The main bedroom door is HORRIBLY squeaky, which we didn't know until our infant's first nap and we startled her awake trying to close it. The back door SLAMS, LOUDLY, so make sure you guide it closed. The driveway can be tricky to get in and out of, not taking into consideration the construction making it even trickier. Overall it was still a lovely stay and preparing for the 'cons' would make this a 5-star stay. The owner was very good at communication and prompt with the responses.
