Noisy heating,air con no direct access to car park poor cooked breakfast phone there but not connected no subdued light for bathroom at night noisy malfunction sliding door and toilet flush no ale on draught.

It is an old hotel currently under refurbishment. Friendly staff are doing what they can to be helpful in a run down hotel. I would only revisit when it has been fully refurbished, which will take a while. The new owner was welcoming and enthusiastic about the job ahead of him. Very run down but beds clean and tea in the room. You get what you pay for, and it was very cheap. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless you are watching your pennies. Good luck to the refurbishment.

The room was not cleaned properly - red dust ! on the side table - moths in the towel in the bathroom. Food very poor in the restaurant. It’s a shame as the main building is a thing of beauty but the lodges and the food I ordered on the night are very poor. Almost £7.00 for a beer is a little too heavy also.

Carisbrooke Castle is a historic motte-and-bailey castle located in the village of Carisbrooke, near Newport, Isle of Wight, England. Charles I was imprisoned at the castle in the months prior to his trial The site of Carisbrooke Castle may have been occupied in pre-Roman times.
