「My family and I had a very comfortable 3-night stay at Happy Lands and visited Addo Elephant Park each day. On arrival, we were welcomed by the lovely host family to a very peaceful setting. The cottage patio looks onto beautiful gardens with mature trees. My husband wasn’t able to join us on this holiday, and we’ve already decided that we’d love to visit again to show him the farm. 」

「We felt the on site restaurant could have offered more selection especially on starters one of which stayed the same for 3 nights and the other was a soup which did change but it wasn't exactly exciting. There are not many other restaurant choices in the area. 」

「Mooie cottage gunstig gelegen tov Addo Elephant Park. Toegangsweg met ‘gewone’ auto uitdagend bijna 5 km over onverhard met gaten en keien. Uitzicht adembenemend, lieve honden op het terrein maar daar moet je van houden natuurlijk! Spullen wat verouderd maar alles aanwezig.」

「Wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft. Die Manager Eduan und Freddie tun alles, um einen rundum entspannten Aufenthalt sicher zu stellen. Rund 10 Fahrminuten zum Haupttor des Addo-Parks. Das Essen, gerade auch das Frühstück, war ausgezeichnet. Und auch wir hatten das Glück, an allen drei Abenden beim Abendessen von Eddie und seinem Klavier begleitet zu werden. 「The actual hotel is really very good and the rooms are outstanding. Nice grounds, nice pool and the food was also of a decent quality. Now on a road trip around South Africa, you get used to warnings about safety and taking care of belongings. Here we were welcomed with a lengthy delivery on all the steps the hotel was taking and what in turn we needed to do, which even by SA standards appeared a bit alarming, so made you think the surrounding area must be a huge 'worry'. Then we were presented...

「Die Unterkunft lag perfekt, um den Addo Elephant Park zu besuchen. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Wir haben den Park mit dem eigenen PKW besucht und hatten einzigartige Momente dort mit Elefanten, Zebras und vielen anderen Tieren. 」

「Die Lage des Cottage ist perfekt. Vom Bett aus konnten wir Elefanten und Kudu-Antilopen im Addo Park sehen. Aber auch direkt hinter dem Zaun des Grundstücks waren Warzenschweine und Antilopen unterwegs. Es war sauber, und alles da, was man benötigt. Die Feuerstelle lädt zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen bei einem leckeren Wein ein. 」
