"Stayed at Monika’s house for 4 nights during Oktoberfest opening weekend, we had 2 friends join us for 2 nights. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated and eclectic. This was our first stop on an 11 day euro trip, so the washer and dryer in the basement was extremely helpful, so we didn’t have to overpack. The S-Bahn is a quick 3-4 min walk, and 15 minutes to Hackenbruke with a short walk to the festival. There is no air conditioning, but Monika provided fans upon request and the German...

"Pool is an extra cost"

Holiday Inn Munich - South by IHG

8/10 Good

"I arrived earlier than the check in time (2:30pm, for a 3pm check in) and was told my room category was not ready, so I went for a walk. When I came back at 2:30pm my room was still not ready (again fine as I was early), so at 3pm I was told that there were still no Premium Rooms available. Normally, in this instance, you'd expect to be offered the next category up, but I was offered the Standard Room (and nothing in the way of compensation). I had to take it because I needed to be somewhere within the hour. The room I was give was spacious, with a comfortable bed, but it had no safe or ironing board (the latter I was able to order from housekeeping) The bathroom was also a good size with a nice powerful shower, but it did not drain too well. No noise from outside or neighbouring rooms, so a good nights sleep. I did not have time to use any of the facilities but it looked like there were some good options. The hotel is a five minute walk from the nearest underground station which takes you straight into town. I would stay again for the price paid, as overall it was a nice experience."
