If I could give this property 0 stars, I would. I booked two rooms through Expedia months in advance for our July 30–August 6 stay to attend a wedding with approximately 135 guests at the resort. Upon arrival, the hotel charged us an additional $500 because my niece had turned 13 just five days before our trip, even though she was 12 when I made the reservation. They refused to make any accommodation. The room was also unacceptable. The mattress and bench were dirty, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and housekeeping folded our used towels instead of replacing them. The only positive was the entertainment staff—they were outstanding. Management, however, was the opposite. Despite speaking with Luz and Maridal, no one was willing to help. The night before we were scheduled to leave, my daughter had a medical emergency and the resort doctor advised us not to travel. We asked to extend our stay by one day, but the hotel wanted to charge another $600. Between the unexpected charges, poor cleanliness, and complete lack of compassion, this was the worst resort experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this property.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. However, there were a few issues we’d like to share as feedback. We had previously arranged a surprise for our anniversary, but communication stopped and it was never carried out. Also, towels were not replenished despite our request. On our last morning, we also found a very large cockroach in the bathroom. We understand this may happen in tropical areas, but we wanted to inform you. We hope this feedback helps improve future guests’ experiences.
