We were given an apartment rather than a room. It was very spacious, comfortable and fitted out to a high standard. We were provided with a fantastic selection of food to make breakfast. The staff were lovely and the hotel is very central in Montrose town centre.

The room was fine. Small, but the three of us made it work. The bathroom and shower were good. If we were staying in town longer I would have booked something more expensive, but for the price and one night, We're happy.

We booked an overnight here while attending a surprise 50th birthday party. We were met by Bruce who showed us to our apartment, we were over the moon with it, it was absolutely 1st class. We finished our night off in The Star Hotel bar downstairs, so was just a short trip upstairs to bed, which i thought would have been noisy tbh, but we never heard a thing. We would definitely recommend staying here, great little place.

We enjoyed our stay in the oldest hotel in Montrose! The showers, staff and beds were great! We arrived on a night when the bar area was not open and so had to call for someone to come and let us in and they were there in 5 minutes😊
