The owner, Kendra is a chef, so the kitchen was well equipped making food prep fun and easy. She was on site when we arrived, making everything easy and fun.
A little outdated but fairly comfortable. VHS in living room tv did not work (tracking was off?) and tv did not have a remote. Bathroom door was on backwards. Kitchen had a lot of amenities and host left a signature spice/seasoning…thank you!
The place was very cute. The floors are uneven, probably due to settling of the house. The backyard was great but not connected to the house through a back door that was accessible to us. The owner let us check out a bit later which made things easier for us. Peaceful and charming.
We enjoyed Kendra's home during our 4 day stay. She met us when we arrived and provided a detailed review of all the home's nuances. The home was clean (our number one priority) and had all amenities listed. Wi-fi was stellar. The home was comfortable and the neighborhood safe. We walked our 3 dogs every day without any concerns. The home is located close to a main road making getting around easy. One note: the backyard fenced area is not connected by a door leading to the area but we had to take our dogs out the side door and around to the fenced in area. It wasn't an issue but something to be aware of. Kendra notified us we left a small SD card (for our vehicle dash camera) and mailed it back to us. We appreciated all of Kendra's efforts and really enjoyed staying in her home. We would stay there again!
My dad and I were taking a father/son trip to the San Juan mountains and this rental provided a good stay for the trip. Overall, this was a nice place to stay with just a few issues.
The rental had comfortable beds, a good amount of square footage, good kitchen appliances, a nice patio area, and a decent fenced in section in the backyard for pets. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The apricot tree in the front yard produced a lot of fresh fruit. Communication with the host, Kendra, was excellent, as she was always quick to respond to our questions and concerns.
A few minor issues that we came across were the microwave rotation plate did not function correctly and the toilet would sometimes run for long periods. The guest bedroom was pretty warm, but Kendra got a new AC unit while we were there to help.
Overall, The price was reasonable and if you're in the Montrose area, this house is a good option.
The back yard you had to go out side around the house plus it has a pile of branches all dirt cat poop my dog got stickers in her paws, toilet you couldn't flush with toilet paper the T.V always cut in and out to me way to much money
The house is as it is described. The toilet had a few issues with flushing. There was a fan blowing that we could find as it was loud and the twin bed is small for adults. It would be great if the TVs were all smart TVs or at least updated. On the flip side the kitchen was perfect and was equipped with everything! We enjoyed our stay and was perfect for our needs.
NOT RECOMMENDEDLE: property of Kendra A. Wilson: 1st. she says that the house has 2 twin bed and 1 queen bed, is a lie, it only has 1twin bed, and the beds are uncomfortable. 2nd we had an accident with one of the tvs because it was not secure to the wall, one of my kids barely touched and its fells down and it broke. so i had to buy another one exactly the same. 3rd the bathroom is in bad condition, since the first day we had problems with the toilet, got clogged, in general, everything is old and breaks very easily. outside there is not privacy it has 3 feet's fence with not gate so you can not leave your dog outside. the price is very high for such an old property. I could fill a page with all the flaws but it would be boring.....
