「We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us...

「We started off by having difficulty int getting to the hotel. It’s in between two roads on an intersection and it makes it difficult to get in and out of the tiny car park.
Check in was quick and easy and reception was very friendly and informative.
However, reception is only open until 9pm which is very odd for a hotel.

「We only stayed one night in Angouleme and this was the perfect base! Gorgeous room, comfy bed, large bathroom with lovely shower and perfect location to walk to the centre. We drove and parked in Les Halles car park (just a few min walk from the apartment), I did see a few reviews saying this was tight but we found it fine with our SUV. Reasonably priced too. Also really appreciated the lovely coffee machine in the room! 」
