We had to evacuate our St. Petersburg home because Hurricane Milton was barreling down on us. I booked 40 N Capitol Parkway, and for five days, it was our home away from home. It had everything we needed - plenty of room for us: four people and three cats. We're so grateful for being out of harm's way. Thank you!
Old house with typical quirks that one would expect. However, it had everything we needed for the 2 weeks we were in it: pet friendly, full kitchen w basic appliances, dishes, cooking equipment, washer/dryer, large rooms w comfy beds, dining room to eat in, and one tv in family room. The neighborhood borders rougher parts of town, but we had zero issues with not feeling safe. I walked our dog around the neighborhood without any issues. I’d stay here again if needed.
The house is beautiful!! Very old and charming, and nicely remodeled. Host was very responsive to questions prior to stay, during and after to make sure we had a great experience. Thanks!
The home is very nicely put together, updated and very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Nice place to unwind after exploring the area. Love that each room had a king bed - perfect!
We stayed two days at this property, an older home in an established neighborhood. The home itself was clean with comfortable beds and a renovated kitchen. It was conveniently located to downtown, museums, and restaurants. Communication with the rental agency was easy with fast responses to our questions or concerns.
Our stay in Capital Heights cottage was a blessing to my family. We stayed with 6 adults and 3 small children. It was clean, roomy and the decor was beautiful. The full kitchen was a cost saver as we cooked meals instead of going out to eat. The host responded in a timely manner through all communication. Check in and out was sick and efficient. I would stay here again.
This home needs some serious updates. We walked and there was MOLD on the walls and home smelled of mildew. It was clearly not cleaned. The home is spacious but the lack updated amenities and appliances did not meet the cost of the stay.

House was not as described or looked on listing
The house was not as described in listing, very old and musty, needed to empty dehumidifier every 8 hours. The house was not updated.
Enjoyed this property's location to downtown and access to other sites. Furnishings are nice and comfortable; kitchen is excellent. Ceiling fans, air conditioning, and frequent attention to the dehumidifier were needed during the humid weather. With this combination, the house stayed comfortable. Would recommend the owners consider new living room furniture due to the couch's cindition. Aside from that concern, we had a very nice stay and appreciated prompt communication with the host.
Property is a refurbished old home. It comes with old home problems (i.e. you will see the occasional bug and the windows are thin and definitely leak air through them) but for the most part the home is solid. If staying in a large group you'll have to coordinate your shower use to not run out of hot water. The kitchen is the nicest part of the home and is well stocked with most of what you need to eat on.
We did find issues upon arrival, however some were resolved within 24 hours when communicated.
Beautiful older home in an historic neighborhood, very convenient to downtown Montgomery and a quick trip to and from Maxwell AFB. Large bedrooms with comfortable king-size beds. One en suite with spacious bathroom and walk-in closet. Lots of nice, soft towels and shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Big kitchen with all the amenities (including complimentary oatmeal & grits :) Living room contains minimal furniture that's ok but could use some comfort improvements. The dining room table is a nice gathering place for meals and games. There is a busy intersection a block away, and the street where the house is located is a pretty busy thoroughfare, but we slept great and noticed the traffic really only when sitting on the porch, taking in the amazing springtime weather. Off-street parking available at the back of the property. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Montgomery, and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Joshua, for your attentive communication!
The house is lovely and cozy. Everything was clean and we had plenty of space. I would definitely stay there again when i need. to visit my family. The location is great for downtown. The neighborhood was ok. My family is further east but i didn’t mind the drive.
