"We stayed at the other property at Mon Domini, though we originally booked the cottage. There was a mix up and Livia upgraded us. The other property was so nice a full one bedroom, one bathroom downstairs apartment with a huge patio right in the middle of the olive groves. The purpose of our visit was genealogy in Cupra Marittima and this was just a few minutes' drive down the beach. We cooked dinner in the beautifully appointed kitchen each night and enjoyed the view. "I stayed at the Hotel Plaza 3 or 4 years ago and loved it; this time, not so much. It is in a great location, the housekeeping staff does a great job, and the breakfast has a pretty good variety. However, the property is rather shabby; the rooms need repainting and the carpet in the room needs to be replaced; I don't think even a good cleaning would help it. After a week's stay, we had an early plane to catch and asked if a breakfast box could be arranged as we would be leaving before breakfast. We were pretty much told no because the breakfast was included in the cost of the room so we hadn't paid extra for it. Instead, we were told to pick up some items from the hospitality bar which we hadn't known existed until that moment. This little room has coffee and snacks available to the guests and the reception clerk should have told us about this on our arrival, but didn't. If we hadn't asked for breakfast boxes on our last day, we would never had known about it. In general, reception was less than helpful and seemed to resent it every time we asked a question, so we stopped asking. There are a few other hotels in this location and I might try one of those next time I go to Pescara."
