What an amazing find!!!! Literally in the middle of nowhere, La Scarzoula was a 16th century monastery acquired by Tomaso Bozzi in the 1950s. He proceeded to build what he called his “ideal city”, which features various building structures with a ton of mystic symbols and seven theaters. The theaters are a reference to the drama we call life.

"We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in Brufa - Casa Vog. The house is perfectly located for short trips to Assisi, Perugia, Lago Trasimeno and slightly further afield to a number of places in Tuscany such as Siena. Olimpia and Elena are fantastic hosts. "Such an oasis of calm and relaxation. The room was large and cool with a very comfortable bed. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful setting and just a short walk from the beautiful town and many fantastic restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Montepulciano."

"What a great hotel at a perfect location!! It’s close to Duomo, very easy to get from Orvieto train station by funicular and bus A to Duomo. I got a room at a separate building from the main building, so it was very quiet and the room is so spacious, clean and comfortable. There are so many shops, restaurants, cafes, gelateria around the hotel. Highly recommend it!!"
