"We booked the house, for the amount of rooms to accommodate, 4 couples and 3 kids, The house worked perfectly for everyone. All loving the appeal of the location and house. I think we would have struggled finding a better property in the area, which is so idyllic and peaceful."

"Perfect place to stay with your family. There's a lot to do in the surrounding area. 5mn away from the supermarket Leclerc and 10mn away from the amazing town of Bergerac. Great and vibrante at night with all the little restaurants and places to enjoy the culture and music. The only downside of the property was the lack of air-conditioning."

"This is a beautiful traditional style French house of the region. It is a bit rustic in places, but absolutely packed with charm and character.
The location is amazing - what you see in the photos is exactly how it is. The river is a 60-second walk away with easy access in and out of the water. The village is pretty, quiet and within 10 minutes drive of a E.Leclere supermarket and the main road.
The house is spacious, has bags of character, has a fabulous outdoor space with chairs, sun-loungers...

"Thibaud, the host, has created a lovely property that is very comfortable and well equipped. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool is also lovely and very private. Thibaud was charming, very helpful and very responsive. We would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return. "

"We have spend an amazing week in this holiday home. The house was perfect for our 3 families with young children. The pool was perfect for the children: with steps and a safety fence.
The owners live right next door but they are very nice and we didn’t see them at all, unless we needed help with something.
We highly recommend this holiday home!"

"Wow! Could not have asked for a more perfect holiday with family of 10. The property is magnificent with all the modern amenities needed for everyone to be comfortable and relaxed. "A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "

"Domaine de Grande Fort is a beautiful place to stay. Situated near Bergerac and overlooking the River Dordogne, our hosts Isabelle and Stephane made us very welcome. We had an excellent dinner and a fine breakfast the next morning. As we sat eating our meals outdoors looking down to the river and across to the beautiful gardens we were sorry that we were just staying for one
night. We will return to this peaceful place."
