"I would not recommend anyone because the room Hibiscus No 15 and 11 were terrible poorly maintained there were lizards everywhere and mosquitoes. We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. "Spent three nights at Preskil and wished I stayed longer. We had an incredible view of the sea from our room. We were half board and the food was amazing, especially the local food. We went to the 1810 for lunch and that was reasonably priced. The evening entertainment was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back !"

"Very quaint and affordable property but a little dated. Lovely location and the staff do what they can to assist you. However, you consider bringing your own seasoning blends as the food is bland. Buy a 2 oz bottle of garlic or onion powder to create your own travel seasonings. Would be nice if they used table fans to deter flies around the food."

"Sam and his team were very friendly and welcoming right from the start of the trip. They were always ready to help. The staff made our stay feel very special and we will treasure our Mauritius experience for years to come. The food was top class and always well presented. The beach right on the edge of the hotel garden was superb and we enjoyed snorkeling there often. Literally 20 yards from our doorstep. Can't find any faults with our stay. Would love to come back some day. Hopefully not good bye, but more of a see you later."

"My stay at SALT of Palmar was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The hotel has a great location with ocean views right from the bed. The food was amazing, breakfast, lunch, and dinner all had lots of variety. The rooftop bar was a perfect spot to relax. Thank you again, I highly recommend this place to travellers."

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius

"Overall the Westin Turtle is a perfectly good option to consider if you just want somewhere to sit and bathe in the sun. The beach area is clean with plenty of sand but the best area's to swim in the sea as via the area given over to another hotel - nothing stopping you using it but sunbeds etc are not for Westin customers. Plenty to do whilst on site with various events laid out during the day to make things fun. All of the staff were attentive and helpful but special shout out goes to Vivek, Mafoozah and Jeevan who made our stay very comfortable. We visited in September and that appears to be considered a quiet month so certain restaurants and options are not running, these were not told to us at any point, we just discovered it by chance. We decided to eat outside of the resort on most nights - a personal choice over anything wrong - but when we cannot fault the quality of the food or the service. I don't know how Westin compares to other similar hotel but for us it met our expectations and allowed us to have a stress free holiday."
