Mittenwald Old Town

Awful experience. Would sleep on the airport floor before I'd stay here again. Waited an hour for the city bus to take me to the hotel--it never came. There were so many people waiting that I knew there were too many if the bus came, so I spent 25 euros for a taxi. Not sure why they have a shuttle to the airport, but not one from the airport--makes no sense. When I checked in, they did not provide any info on wifi. I had to go back to the desk, wait in line, and request the info. The room was filthy. The carpet was so disgusting I wouldn't even put my dirty clothes on it when I was re-packing. Mold/mildew throughout the bathroom (I debated not taking a shower). A/C not working properly. Only 2 positives of the stay: room did have blackout curtains and the airport shuttle (which was cheaper than my taxi there) did run when it was supposed to. Do not stay here!!!

Hallway and room wasn’t clean. Air conditioning wasn’t working and 36 degrees temps outside made for a terrible nights sleep. Telephone in room didn’t work. No water in the room. Breakfast area was a disaster. Worst one we’ve seen in over a month of travel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone worried about cleanliness or air conditioning.

Great hotel, very comfortable and friendly welcome, food is also great.
