It was frustrating because they had many open rooms and gave us one that had the AC/heat unit not working. When I tried to see what they would do to accommodate the uncomfortable night we had, they have done nothing.

Fine but not worth the price as there were no amenities. Area around the tub was kind of dirty, the bed frame was covered in dirty fabric and the neon lights look cool on the outside but added additional light in the room at night.

The front desk staff was very friendly when I checked in. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the road noise and train made sleep difficult. The 2" lateral blinds didn't fit the window, so I had to put towels up to block people from seeing in my room. They also don't block the bright neon red lights outside the room at night. And DON'T accept a room near the stairwell (211)! The clanking from the metal stairs when people go up and down them all night is horrible and vibrates the window. Morning showers were luke warm. I appreciate the renovation to make an old motel cute and clean, but sleep and privacy are a priority to me

Had to hang towels to block gap in the blinds for privacy.

Red neon lights lit up the entire room at night.

Staircase right outside of my room was really loud when people went up and down it. Maybe a sign reminding people to walk lightly would be beneficial. DON'T book room 211. It's right next to the staircase.

I chose this property because of the reviews so I decided to spend $145/night in a motel, when I woke up this morning, there were bed bugs and I had some bite hugs in my body!! I took a picture of the bug on my bed and went to the lobby to speak to the NOT NICE person there, I regret it because he was rude and totally useless, he just said the he was going to tell the exterminator but, he DID NOT CARE at all!!! What a waste of time and money. Please, stay away from this property if you care about your health and well being!!!

Very convenient location .. walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Parked right outside our room and comfortable rooms. Nice shower and cute retro look. Would have been nice to have a small fridge, but ice worked with our cooler. Quiet. We would stay again.

The property is clearly working on getting better, there have been cosmetic updates to the rooms and the outside is working on cleaning up. It was an acceptable stay overall: the noise level was fine, it felt safe, no problems with the car in the parking lot, but it was very bare bones. My suggestions for improvement: -Shower floor was uneven/had standing water. The drain was dirty/had a mess of something caught in it. The shower needs to for sure be clean and drain/dry properly. -Shower soap dispenser was completely empty and there was only one small bar of hand soap available. A post-covid world needs soap. -Bathroom floor was very dirty; when we put down the white floor mat it was instantly filthy from the floor. -No bathroom fan (particularly uncomfortable when traveling with a partner and eating new/different foods) -Queen size sheets on a king sized bed and 3 pillows for 2 people. Bedding needs to match the bed size and the number of guests. -Ensure all outlets work. In our room (107), the outlet by the window didn't work resulting in my partner's phone not charging over night. -Amenities: there was a small microwave, but nothing else. No coffee maker, no mini fridge, no place to keep any water/snacks/leftovers (or medications). - No ice maker. Room temperature tap water or a bottle of warm water from the vending machine are the only options. - Need a local guide/maps for food/coffee (especially if no coffee in the room). Nothing egregious, but could be better.

Rooms could use black out curtains (room is very lit up at night from the proterties lights outside), tissues would be nice (none to be found in the room at all), and mini fridge in room would be nice also. They have microwaves but are kinda useless without a fridge to keep food cold. Rooms were clean and bed was nice. Staff was friendly!

Wow. I live in Montana and this is the first time I have stayed here. It was so reasonable for Missoula in the summer. And so cute and well decorated inside. Comfortable and my new Missoula fav. Easily walkable to the best breakfast burrito at market in front street and the shuttle to kettle house. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival, we noticed some very unsavory men located around the building, not too much of a concern, but just a little unnerving. Went to find ice and had to go on a whole journey around the facilities to find the ice machine tucked into the small laundry room, where there was a small sign pointing to the location, was very inconvenient to find. Pillowcases had other peoples hair in them, and bathroom towels were stained with mysterious stains. Wall sockets did not work most of the time, and one of the lamps was missing a light bulb. Shower supplies such as soap and shampoo were EMPTY and we were left with tiny little bars of soap to use. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience we’ve had, hopefully improvement happens in the future.

The Bel Aire was a pleasant surprise. It is definitely an old hotel that has gone through some renovations and they were good modern choices. It felt clean and was quiet. The AC could have gotten colder for our liking and the only other negative we had were the bright flood lights that were on all night. Yes they made it safe and bright however they were so bright it was really bright in the room, like I woke up at 1am and thought the sun was up already. I would recommend blackout shades if others had this same issue. We would stay here again. It was close to downtown with a lot of shopping and restaurant choices.

When we arrived at the property, we were told that our room number would be 102, however, when we got to room 102 the bed was not made. It was not ready for guests. So we went back to the hotel manager he took us to three other rooms that were the same condition, finally we were given a room. He said he would come back with a key he never did. The room had a really bad odor and was an ill repair. The manager seemed to be under the influence of some substance.

First off, this motel is simple, definitely no bells or whistles which we knew beforehand. When we arrived, there was hair on most of the pillows, I went to take a shower and hair all over the walls. Then my wife went to use the toilet and there were remnants of vomit in the toilet bowl. So we complained and they offered to move us to a different room. We get to the new room, still hairs on most of the pillows, but the shower is clean… er. But low and behold, now our AC does not work. So back to the office we go. And Tim, the manager says “well I can try to get hold of engineering to see if they can help,” and ALAS! Did engineering ever come? No. So. They gave us a fan. And after all of that, I asked for some money back for the inconvenience, and he said “I will try, but no guarantee.” And then when I followed up regarding the refund, that they never gave us, he had the audacity to say “all I can say is, please come see us again and it will be better.” NICE TRY. I do not recommend. Pay the extra money and go stay at the wren!
