Sandestin long weekend

Awesome. The property was as explained. Our group of four had a wonderful stay The golf cart community was cool and offered many amenities Florida sun and Destin beaches are always good for the soul.

Surprise Steep Stairs!

I'll start with the Cons: We went to Mirimar for our grandson's 4th Birthday. We are both in our 70's and we told this to the owner. We had another couple (family) coming for 2 days for this mini-reunion and they also are in their 70's, but not as healthy as we are. When we arrived we were surprised to find a very steep set of wood stairs (20 steps) which was the only access to the Unit. We hauled all of our luggage up the stairs. When we told our relatives and sent a picture of the stairs, they cancelled their trip. He is a Vietnam Vet and has mobility issues...he can get around, but could not do those stairs safely. I went back and looked at the description of the property. I did not see this important feature anywhere..even inthe pictures! I feel the owner should have let us know immediately when I told them our ages. We have rented many VRBO properties and usually they have basic coffee supplies, hand soap dispensers, salt and pepper, etc...some basics to get you started. This unit had none. On the plus side, it is well decorated, the beds are comfortable, and the location is excellent. We would not rent this property again.

Fall Getaway Perfection

Updated, clean, and comfortable. Beautiful view of the golf course and water. Nice furniture, bedding and other linens. Perfectly packaged soaps and other toiletries. The golf cart was a nice addition. Close to walking trails, Sandestin amenities, pool, and a short golf cart ride the beach access. Thank you for the nice accommodations; perfect for a couple’s trip! We loved all the windows and nice decor. Only suggestions for improvement: closer golf cart parking (which I’m sure is no fault to the owners) and scrub the showers.

Wonderful vacation spot

We love this area because of the closeness to all the food, beach, golf and shopping. Our kids love the “beep beep” and everyone uses them here so having it included is perfect. We had no issues with the property and were so pleased with our stay. It is lovely, quiet and close to everything. Highly recommend!

Nice place nicer people!

Summary: Overall this was a nice place to stay for a short vacay for able bodied people. The golf cart was nice added bonus. Management was awesome! Pros: 1. Management was very communicative. 2. There were plenty of towels. 3. Beautiful views from the balcony. 4. Floors were clean and place was near spotless. 5. Nice care starter package for washing and toiletry needs. 6. Decor was pretty Cons: 1. I do not recall seeing on the listing that the balconies had a 2 person limit (signs on sliding door). This would have been nice to know before arrival as we are a 5 person family. Also it was a bit confusing because 2 people could be the weight of 5 depending on size, so not having a weight requirement was strange. Also listing says it is a new deck but it is not. 2. There was a large stain on one of the comforters (looked to be set in) and there was a wash cloth made into the bedding (so a was cloth was under the comforter with the bed made). 3.The master shower has standing water towards the back. 4. The washer/dryer combo was very small but I do understand you are working with limited space. 5. Some of the lamps were unplugged. Maybe housekeeping can check this upon cleaning. 6. I feel the lock on the door should be changed. We put the chain on it but if you lock the door and turn the handle it opens right up. Thanks to our toddler for discovering this. 7. The golf cart was nice but would have been better if it had a Bluetooth speaker.

Great stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property! Such a quiet and nice area. Property management was quick to respond to question/issue and make sure things were working properly. Super comfy beds!! Great to have golf cart. Be aware - on 2nd level so lots of stairs (we just approached it as getting out steps in!). Would stay again!

Great place. Clean and nicely renovated

We have stayed at several VRBOs in Baytown and this is the best one yet. No issues whatsoever. 6 seat golf cart was a difference maker.

Not convenient

Sandestin came highly rated, and the description of the condo made it sound like everything was very close. We had 2 children 3 and under. Nothing convenient about having to make a mile golf cart ride and then a half mile walk to the beach. If you only had adult in your party, then maybe I would recommend this place but if children are involved then no. The condo was clean as far as, it wasn’t dirty but there were roaches. Not invested but enough to notice. Called the manager twice. No calls were returned. Our checkout was at 10. House keeping was there at 8 in the morning. I told them our checkout was at 10 and we would be gone then. The housekeeper sat on our staircase until 10 and brought her things into the condo while we were getting our belongings to the car. I will no stay here again or with this company. Nothing convenient or enjoyable about the stay.

Cockroaches, dirty floors and no golf cart

We booked this condo because it appeared clean in the pictures provided and it stated that it came with a 6 person golf cart to use for the week. Unfortunately, it was not clean and we never got a golf cart to use. We arrived shortly before our 4 PM check in time on Saturday, but we were unable to get in as the house cleaners had just arrived at 3:56. When my husband asked them about how long it would take, they told him they could be done in 20 minutes. He told them to please take their time, we wanted the unit to be clean. We were finally able to get in the unit around 5PM. After being in the condo for only 5-10 minutes, we noticed that everyone's socks had turned black. We then cleaned the filthy floors ourselves with the bleach wipes we had brought. We also noticed cockroaches (aka palmetto bugs) crawling around all over the kitchen counter and floor, especially under the fridge, island and dishwasher. Someone came into spray for bugs the next day, but we still had several crawling around throughout the week in the kitchen, bathroom, and even found 1 in the fridge. In addition to the filthy floors and cockroaches, the shower had mold/mildew. We were shocked with how dirty this unit was because we stayed in a different property within San Destin last year, and it was immaculate. The golf cart...We got a text at 5:29 the night before we were to check in letting us know that we weren't going to have a golf cart. We did not see the text until 6:30 (office closed) when we stopped for the night (traveling 900 miles). This should have been a phone call. After getting the run around throughout the week, we never did get a golf cart to use. This meant my husband and son couldn't golf during the week, we had to park really far every time we went to Baytowne Wharf, we had to drive our van to the beach, and we missed out on the fun of being able to drive a golf cart around for the week. When my husband asked a representative with My Vacation Haven if he could speak with the property manager for this unit, they refused and said that they were the liaison. They did finally give us a small portion of our rental fee back (for what it would cost to rent a golf cart and for our troubles). The problem is, we weren't able to rent a golf cart to use in San Destin as they all must be registered. On a positive note, the condo does have a beautiful view of a pond, and San Destin is a scenic area with much to do. The beach, however, is very overcrowded.

Great Location

Condo was super clean and very well decorated. Location was centralized for golf, the wharf, beaches and Publix. Neighbors were a bit loud but overall a great experience.

Family stay

It was a nice condo, clean and spacious. Very roomy. The golf cart had a maintenance issue so that caused logistical conflict. A golf cart in Sandestin is a must, we found that out real quick!

First family vacation

We loved this condo, it was perfect for our little family. My daughter loved the bunk beds ! It was very clean and very nice! We also loved the area, it was so fun to take golf cart rides to the little village, we went there almost every night because there was so much to do for kids and they had something going on almost every night! We ate at almost every restaurant in the village and they were all so good! We would definitely stay here again ! Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay

Place was neat and very simple. The steps to the front door were steep. I would prefer first floor if I returned. It was nice to look at back and see the turtles in the pond. It was centrally located. We enjoyed our stay and liked the golf cart.

The beautiful Emerald Coast

Great location, beautiful setting and the pictures were very accurate. Extremely limited on cooking and baking pans, no iron and the vacuumed was broken. Plan on buying your own paper goods as they left next to nothing in the condo.
