This updated Northwoods Swiss Chalet sits on clear Curtis Lake in beautiful Minocqua. Nice, 1 acre wooded lot w a large yard & private driveway. The house is situated on the back of the property, just steps from the lake. Relax & take-in the wildlife on the lakeside wrap-around deck. Sandy frontage beach for swimming. Private dock w pedal boat & kayaks - boat across the lake to Minocqua Prime for an old fashioned & fish fry! Lakeside firepit. Grill & yard games. Screened-in gazebo w dining set. 1-car attached garage w additional fridge/freezer. Keyless entry & security camera.

4 bed/2 bath. 2100 sq ft. The open floorplan inside is great for big groups & the spacious main level boasts towering ceilings w barn beams & a knotty pine open staircase. Gorgeous, original built-in dining hutch. Smart home features w Amazon Alexa throughout the entire house. Free access to cable/internet, Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu+, HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon Video & tons of purchased movies/shows. Desk/work area. Game room features an 8' Brunswick pool table, dart board, various games & a 65" 4K FireTV! Main living area also has a 70" 4k FireTV. Fully-equipped kitchen, recently remodeled w stainless steel appliances (including DW). New 4'x4' kitchen island w quartz top & an Alexa Echo Show 8 for entertaining. 7' Mahogany 20th century-style dining table. New luxury plank flooring throughout. LIVING ROOM: Spacious great room open to dining/kitchen area has towering ceilings w lg. beams & a knotty pine open staircase. Lake House

We enjoyed our Minocqua stay! The lake is gorgeous and house holds up to all the pictures shown. Lots of little touches made our stay extra easy: coffee k-cups, tons of towels, extra roll away beds that can be placed in the closets of the bedrooms to help, plenty of fans to keep the bedrooms cooler. The kayaks were so fun to use out on the lake but the paddleboad's rudder wasn't working. Easy fishing from the dock was a great bonus too.

Convenient location

Easy water access in a beautiful location- close to the highway for quick trips to town and the grocery store. The house was very well stocked and appreciated all of the helpful labeling and cots to help configure sleeping as we needed. Our group enjoyed the kayaks and evening fires outside.

Great Place to Relax!

Traveling with a group of our church youth to a student competition, we needed a place to spend the night. This house was EVERYTHING I dreamed it would be. With plenty of space, lots of activities to let the teens relax after a long road trip, and very nice layout! We loved it! Super comfortable and reasonably priced.

Lovely Stay For XC Skiing

While the snow was not as abundant as we had hoped, the locations proximity to Minocqua Winter Park was perfect and the space was warm and welcoming.

Great Location

The house was very well stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of paper products including toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. There were areas of the house that could have been cleaned better. The kids enjoyed the lake swimming, kayaking, and fishing. They were able to catch fish right from the dock. Location is secluded but yet close to many things to do.

Vacation on a small lake

House on the inside was nice enough,except for the many levels of stairs. Going up and down was hard on the knees for older people. Railings would be nice. Bathtub needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. Water filter on fridge needs to be changed. Outside the house could have been nicer if the entrance to the door would have been cleaned off with a leaf blower quickly. A good first impression is very important. Also, putting a railing by the steps to the lake would also have been nice. The property is close to the Wildwood Zoo and Minocqua. And Sheri's Pub and Grub was a nice place to wait until check in time. We had fun with the paddle boat, kayaks, pool table. If certain things get addressed, the stay will be much better.

Not worth it!!!

Some areas inside were clean but many areas have been neglected. Truthfully the place needs a thorough cleaning inside and out. Mice poop inside and outside on the front porch, bags of discarded dog poop left by the stairs in the back yard. A window in one of the bedrooms didn’t close all the way. The place is extremely over priced for what it had to offer.

Family vacation

House description was accurate. Plenty of supplies provided in the kitchen and baths. Linens and pillows were plentiful. Outdoors was great; plenty of chairs, campfire almost every day/ night was fun although there wasn’t much firewood supplied, kayaks, paddle boat and water mat all provided hours of fun. Loved the fans in bedrooms and the extra fridge came in handy. Extra folding beds/mattresses were uncomfortable to some. No one slept in the top bunk bed as the bed was shaky and they didn’t feel safe. Lower level was damp so no one wanted to sleep there. We brought the extra beds upstairs. Their kitchen faucet/sink had a leak which we reported to Josh on the day before we left. He said it would be repaired. Very convenient location, close to grocery store, Sherie’s for pull tabs and a few beers, and Minocqua for shopping and running/walking on the trail that starts in town. We had a really fun and relaxing time. Bring mosquito repellent!

The perfect home for a family vacation

Our family spent a week here and had a wonderful time! The kitchen and great room were nice for eating and hanging out together. The large table was perfect for game nights and we watched several movies together. The pantry was large with enough dishes and for everyone. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice treat and they provided more than enough paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, Ziploc bags, shampoo, body wash, etc. The owner was extremely responsive and sent a workman to fix some damaged window screens. This allowed the lake breeze to come in and we were very comfortable. We were a mixed group from 11 to 74 and there was something for everyone to do. We used the paddle boat and lily pad every day except when it rained. The lake is lovely with no weeds, but I recommend bringing water shoes because the bottom is silty. We also enjoyed the pool table, kayaks, and fire pit. We got firewood at Tractor Supply next to the Walmart. They provided a charcoal grill with chimney that we used to make our holiday meal - bring charcoal. The only downside is that you can hear traffic on Highway 70, but that is balanced by the fact that the lake is serene and you’re super close to everything! Shopping was convenient and we felt relaxed knowing we could quickly get whatever we needed. The only thing we didn’t get a chance to use was the outdoor gazebo because it was cooler this week and it’s nice and shady in there. We will definitely consider this place for a future stay.

Peaceful retreat in need of attention

This family vacation is an annual Christmas gift and tradition to our girls and grandkids. We plan a different location to explore and rental property each time. The location is great, private lake is peaceful, fishing was good and fun! The kitchen was well-stocked, we were able to cook our meals and enjoy family time around the table. At the surface level, the lodge is clean. For the first time, though, we were disappointed in our rental choice for the amount of money we invested in this gift to our family. The property has fallen into disrepair. The window in the child's bunk room is falling out, it was taped inside to keep the bugs out and could not be opened. It got very warm in there for the kids, even with the fan running. The living room windows couldn't be opened as the screens did not fit well and bugs could easily enter. The windows and screens were dirty, several need attention, perhaps replacement. The bunk bed is wired together, needs replacing. The top mattress is in bad shape. We found the lodge to be very musty and damp. The two small air conditioners are not able to dehumidify this property. The screened gazebo was quite dirty. It has only a crushed rock/dirt floor. The wrap around deck is narrow, needs some boards replaced and is in great need of cleaning, painting. The yard is unkept. There is no sandy beach, actually, no beach at all. The very little shore line was littered with logs, sticks, lost hooks and bait -- unsafe for little ones to play.

Winter 2024

The snowmobile trails weren’t open, so this house on Curtis Lake helped us take those blues away on our family getaway. Spent most of the time cooking, watching the football games and playing a lot of the games that were there. A great family vacation and would definitely return.

Entertaining and beautiful views!

Great location with a nice lake view. Rode the Kayaks on a beautiful sunny morning and it was the nightlight of our stay. We enjoyed grilling our burgers and carne asada ! The fire pit was great for our smoores, kept us nice and cozy in the night. When it was raining outside we enjoyed the pool table and darts! Everything was easily assessable since it was labeled. The only thing I would mention is the deer on the way there. Please be careful with the animals crossing at night. Be aware of them so you don’t hit them. Other than that it was an awesome little vacation. Lots of beds and lots of blankets to keep you warm ! Will def be back !

Snowmobile riders dream.

Rented the house for myself and my buddies to go snowmobiling from. Right on Curtis lake, and directly across from Minoqua Prime steak house. (Amazing steaks and food, highly recommend!!) House had plenty of room for us, and we really liked the large common areas. Beautiful property, we will be back!

Perfect for groups, great location

The location was great - right off the highway so we didn't have to worry about driving uphill in deep snow, and close to Walmart for quick grocery trips. This cabin is great for groups - a large dining table, lots of TVs, a fun game room in the basement for kids and adults. We cooked a lot so it was really nice that everything was labeled - saved us time in finding things! I let the host know ahead of time that we have a toddler and a dog, and he added so many extra touches that went a long way. Both bathrooms had a step stool for the toddler, one bathroom had a changing table, there were even kid-friendly plates/utensils/cups. The queen room has a real crib so we didn't have to bring a pack n play. There were dog bowls and two long tie out leashes which was great too!! Only thing to note is that there is a Keurig machine but no standard coffee maker. If you have a group, definitely buy k-cups (3 free cups were provided) or bring your own coffee maker. Love this cabin and will likely re-book next winter.

Amazing!

Josh’s place was awesome! We came with a large group, including 4 kiddos under 5. Very family friendly, has just about everything you need. Josh was also very accommodating with the check in process. We would love to come back!

Family vacation

We had a great time at Josh's place. He was super easy to communicate with and his house was amazing. We enjoyed family dinners on the big long kitchen table and loved having hang out time around the fire! Would definitely recommend this house for a nice family vacation!
