I was very dirty. The tv did not work. We tuned the heat on and you could smell electrical burning and then the smoke detector went off. I told the front desk that I didn’t feel comfortable in the room. They gave us a new room. The breakfast was not good and was not included in the stay.

Girl getaway.

It is a nice walking distance to downtown, and a quant hotel to stay at. It was perfect for our girl getaway.

Nice room in a very historic building. The room was very comfortable and had all the modern comforts while keeping the charm. The parking is a little bit of a hassle but it is free and they gave you very specific and helpful directions.

The Lowell was lovely. It gave us the historic downtown experience, where walking was easy and we felt safe. The room was air conditioned, quiet, clean and spacious. We will go back again.

Love the Lowell!!

Love the Lowell Inn! So much history. Recommend the Fondue dinner on Fri and Sat. Rooms are spacious and full of character. Outdoor sitting and garden areas are relaxing and beautiful. Walk to main street full of shops and restaurants.

Beautiful & well-kept gem of a historic hotel with interesting history & unique rooms, as well as impressive lobby & restaurant & fondue rooms that are elegant reminders of bygone gracious times. Very convenient to walk around the quaint town. Would love to return.

Felt like royalty

So close to everything. The room was unexpectedly quiet despite being so close to the diwntown area. It was tastefully decorated, while giving us all of the comforts of home. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Extremely comfortable and quiet, dated TV

Very comfortable, very quiet, bonus vacay night for partner and I. Our only complaint was that the TV was very small and dated. We had no problem watching the football game, but would have enjoyed a newer TV model.

There is no elevator. The room smelled of mold, thus the air conditioner simply spread mold spores around. The bathroom was almost as small as an airplane restroom. The sink was so narrow you literally could not wash your hands without getting water all over the floor. The accommodations were very disappointing. We will not return.

The entryway smelled old and stale, carpeted hallways smelled old and stale. The ventilation was poor, especially in the hallways. The building needs a major remodel/update. The room was clean, small. The ice machine was broken, the coffee machine was located on second floor and offered a terrible brew; the decaf was crystals in a packet. Few to no amenities for such a pricey stay. No coffee/tea maker in room. The room was small. The place needs a major restoration.

Historic Hotel in Stillwater

The hotel's description of being historic is certainly accurate, however, it could use some forms of updating here and there. I wouldn't want them to update the hotel to be 20th century modern, but some things getting updated wouldn't be the worst thing for this hotel. They didn't provide shampoo AND conditioner, they had conditioning shampoo, so having nicer complementary toiletries would go a long way in addition to new towels. The air conditioning worked fine in our room, but the TV did not - we could only get 1 channel. We were in town for a wedding so that wasn't important, but little things like this make a difference. We also noticed that the pricing for hotels over a wedding weekend tripled and the elevator was broken to the car garage next door, so it would have been nice to carry luggage/wedding things to our car via an elevator. This hotel is fine if you are there during the week (paying regular rates) and you enjoy historic/quaint hotels.
