Minimoto San Mauro Mare

Excellent location close to the train station. Only had one afternoon/evening to explore Bologna so wanted to stay close to the train station as we had to be on train next day. Also great location to walk into main area of Bologna. Front desk staff was very helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were offered a complimentary drink at the bar. The breakfast was very good with many different options, one of the best hotel breakfasts I have seen. Had many options for vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free. Rooms were nice and comfortable. We only had an issue with the shower and the half wall so did get a lot of water on the floor when in shower, guess we were supposed to "bath" and rinse??? Room has a safe, lots of lighting which many hotels do not, closets and drawers. Bathroom is large and has large counter area. I would definitely stay here again. There is a great cafe next door where we experienced the best cappuccino we have every had anywhere!!!

Conveniently located, upscale, easy parking, but WiFI access poor.

This is a lovely hotel, very clean, nicely decorated. My only negative point is that the hotel was hosting a corporate event in the bar one afternoon, we were made to feel we couldn’t use the bar area and were made to feel very unwelcome at that point. We did get service but not without feeling awkward. Other than that the staff were helpful and the room great.
