Nice place in the country 10 minutes from OU

One night stay while travelling on business. Excellent B&B and just what I needed. A quiet place in the country, parking just outside. Sensible breakfast times - I get really annoyed when I have to miss breakfast as I have to start before breakfast starts! Good fresh cooked breakfast and decent coffee which is something you seldom get at expensive hotels. The room was a bit small but comfortable bed and immaculately clean. All in all an excellent B&B and not overly expensive.

happy with this choice :-)

cannot say enough good things about the accommodation and service, it was amazing. location was quiet with lovely views of the countryside. Breakfast was freshly cooked and varied, quite delicous. we would certainly recommend this property. Only part we struggled with was the size of the bed, for 2 people it was quite small... however we don't tend to sleep well away from home anyway

One night stay

We received a very friendly reception on arrival, with everything explained clearly, and we were shown to our room personally. The Old Stables is set within grazing fields so was very peaceful & quiet, with beautiful views from our 1st floor room. Breakfast was served in a bright room, with multiple French doors which could be opened to provide an al fresco feel, weather permitting. The food was prepared personally by the owner, and was excellent.

Nettes Zimmer in schöner Umgebung. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, tolles Frühstück, saubere Unterkunft. Einzige Abstriche waren der fehlende Schrank (im Bad war die Möglichkeit Sachen auf Bügel zu hängen) und die Hellhörigkeit des Zimmers (Haustür/ Badnutzung im Nachbarzimmer).

Lovely rural stay near Milton Keynes

My wife and I had traveled from Dorset that afternoon and had just been to Milton Keynes, so were a bit weary of urban motorways and sprawl, We really liked the views, the rural feel, with birds singing and horses in the next field, even though it's near to MK, the patio area which we'd have used on a warmer day, and the delicious breakfast. But, we disliked the cold room on arrival (even though check-in isn't until 5pm and we arrived around 5.15) and the mattress which lacked support for me (by far the heavier one of the two of us!), so I didn't sleep well. To her credit, Julie said that she'd get it replaced. So not a bad stay, and we were a bit unlucky with the coldish weather and the mattress.
