Fantastic small hotel b&b. Interiors superb. Exterior could use manicuring. Loved our stay. Pigs, chickens, llamas- awesome pond/small lake and gorgeous Hudson views. Wineries nearby, bridge over Hudson has food trucks; rent a bike. Breakfast superb!!

There were a mix of pluses and minuses but on a whole once I checked in it was a good experience. The property is beautiful, my room was clean, comfortable and the breakfast and service in the morning was efficient and friendly. That being said it was impossible to get in touch with this staff beforehand and they’re running on a skeleton crew, with workers on the premises only a few hours a day. The restaurant, Henry’s, on the property is closed, the spa relocated and the bathroom in the common area was out of order. For what I paid for my room on Expedia I was able to accept the shortcomings and enjoy my stay, but if you’re paying full price, I would do a little research.

Absolutely charming! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at home. Room was spotless, bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. Quiet, cozy, and full of character. I will definitely be back!

The whole property was very nice and quiet no staff around after about 5 but Rachel who’s the day time staff is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of animals. Nice friendly quiet area. Perfect for a quick getaway!

The entire property is in a state of disrepair. The spa wasn’t open. The pool wasn’t open. The sauna wasn’t open. The restaurant wasn’t open. The tennis court appeared to be totally overgrown. A walkway bridge had collapsed. If u want to experience a historic property in faded glory next to the Hudson River with fallen trees littering the walkways, without amenities, this is the stay for you.

The pool was closed, along with the restaurant, which we were not aware of. When we walked the trails to sit at a scenic location, branches and shrubs blocked our view. When we showered, there was half empty bottles of body wash, shampoo and other showering necessities. This was $600 a night. Totally not worth it at this time.

There are a lot of renovations going on, and it might not be at the height of its game… But they do everything they can there to make you comfortable… Including upgrades and five star service. We would definitely go back they are renovating the spa which I believe is probably taking away from giving attention to other parts of the property, but I believe the owner and his staff have all the right intentions and because of that and because of their service, we will definitely be back.

The owner/manager was never on site. Fire alarm went off and we Waite outside for police and fire trucks. Gym and restaurant closed. No amenities. Feels abandoned.

The staff is nonexistent -- literally no one at the front desk ever, guests leaving post-it notes trying get help after calling with no response. Finally a sign posted to call certain numbers, but then guests told to wait 20-minutes because they aren't on site. The amenities promised on their website are nonfunctioning -- no spa, no gym, no restaurant, no pool. The place isn't set up for guests -- patios with no seating, if a seat is available it's dirty. Everything is in need of repair and cobwebs needed cleaned up to reduce the number of bugs. We left a day early because it was so bad -- and just as we were leaving, the electricity went out and a generator flicked on.

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The resort premises are cute. Breakfast which was included was decent. However, a day before our arrival we have learned that Henry’s restaurant where we had a birthday dinner reservation was closed which was disappointing as it was meant to be part of the overall experience. Tried to reach the property several times, left a voicemail and couple messages through Expedia, no one reached back or acknowledged our outreach. During our stay no one was ever at the front desk - the only one who seemed to work there was the chef/server.l which we met at breakfast.

Don't be fooled by the pics, which are from some time in the past. The breakfast was nice, and that is the positive. This property could be beautiful and I assume it was at some earlier date. Huge trees down blocking walkways as well as walkways falling apart making it hard to safely explore the property (one of it's selling points). Room decor is dated. Noone there to check us in, noone there to help with adjusting the temp in our room (freezing) or getting us a blanket. No response to attempts to contact them at the number they provided. Didn't feel super safe that doors to outside are unlocked overnight, anyone could walk in (and one of the windows in our room on the ground floor didn't lock). Also no staff there in the morning. We read that the owners might be having financial issues. I empathize, but the stay was not worth the almost $500 price tag with the current conditions.
