"The bar is superb, and staffed by an exceptionally attentive staff. The level of hospitality offered here is truly exceptional. The hotel is built around a central atrium. It is quite calm and soothing to spend any amount of time in there. Throw in glass elevators that overlook the atrium, and a number of rooms with an interior view, and you've got an extraordinary experience waiting for you. "

"We were knowingly given a room without TV connectivity and with an extremely loud AC unit. When we notified management, they said that they would call us to address our issues when they were finished checking in several other people. After thirty minutes, we gave up and went downstairs (management didn't answer the phone). Management told us that they knew that the room they assigned us didn't have TV connectivity and also knew about the extremely loud AC unit, but there was nothing they could do about it because they had already assigned all of the rooms that had TV connectivity. They assigned us this room because we booked it through Hotels.com instead of through Home2Suites/Hilton."

"The location was perfect. The room was clean and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. I wish I had read more carefully about the stairs. There were four steep and narrow fights. They were a bit much for us but we are in our 60’s with artificial hips."

"The room had a broken lampshade and the sink in the bathroom didn't drain. It is the 2nd time i am confronted with a non-working bathroom sink. i have been a customer to this Residence for over 15 years. Breakfast used to be much better with a person in attendance to cook eggs to one's specifications. All these aminities have disappeared."

"The room was new and modern, with great amenities. It was frustrating not having regular cable channels, just streaming. The navigation and check-in information sent before check-in was very confusing. The road to the bag drop location was closed for construction, so navigation to the hotel was even more complex. Eliminate the photos and maps in the instructions; just give GPS addresses for the parking, drop off, and hotel. Finally, the check-out requirements were very unfriendly, and to threaten a charge of 35 if we didn't obey was outlandish!"

"The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. "
