"This was our 3rd year renting this property for our annual 3 day fishing trip. The house is clean, comfortable and in a great location. The firepit outside is far enough away from neighbors to allow us to have a few beers while listening to music at night. The owner supplies us with a decent amount of firewood which is an added bonus. As usual, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back again next year!"

"The place was good and the location seems really good if you have time to hike. Unfortunately we were only staying for one night. Clean and cozy. Some additional information ahead of arrival for check in would have been good, especially now knowing that there would be no cell coverage."

"Love this cabin. Second time staying at it. It is always clean on arrival. The host is responsive to emails and has the property completely ready for your stay. The kitchen is just the right size. If you drink a lot of coffee remember to ring extra sugar and cream. They do supply some but if you are like me and like multiple cups a day thwn it may not be enoug. The hot tub works wonderfully and even has one seat by the steps where you sit sideways and your lower legs get a nice water massage. I would advise bringing your own charcoal chimney starter if you plan on grilling. I also bring extendable marshmallow roasting sticks to keep a safe distance away from the fire. Plenty to do located nearby including Oldmill Coffee House and Cruisers café. If you are more into wine, Shade Mountain Vineyard has both wine and mimosa tasting at a very reasonable price. I hope that this review helps those of you out there who want to have a quiet relaxing trip."

"Our family’s stay at the historic River Farm was a true pleasure. The home’s historic significance is tremendous: its stone section was built in 1790, and the farm later belonged to our family for four generations of Kerchner’s, from 1874 to 1968. We believe the center expansion was likely added by our ancestor Seth Kerchner after 1893, which made returning to the property even more meaningful. Reserving the property for our family reunion felt remarkable, and we were grateful to see how beautifully our host has cared for both the home and the surrounding farmland. He was exceptionally accommodating and helpful, and we enjoyed sharing some of the farm’s historical photos and stories with him and his wife. Twenty family members of all ages stayed at the home, and on reunion day we welcomed 42 guests to the property. The antique kitchen table expands to seat approximately 12 to 14 people, and the property included plenty of folding tables and chairs, which we set up on the large back porch. Everyone had a seat, plenty of space, and room to gather and talk throughout the day. With its expansive grounds and river access, this home is a wonderful destination for a large gathering, and I would highly recommend it."
