「The Melville is a perfect location! the Melville is a historic property, so don't expect modern, but for what we wanted it was perfect - the location AND onsite parking! It was also next door to the Vanderbilt Hotel and we enjoyed their cocktails on the rooftop with gorgeous views of the harbor and watched the sunset. Yes, it's old but charming. 「We truly enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Inn. The Inn and our room were beautiful, clean and cozy. Liz was super friendly and helpful, and no details were missed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, snacks, boardgames, and hot tea in the afternoon! Close walking distance to the wharf - but im assuming the Hilltop name was a nod to thier location - it's uphill from the Wharf! Would highly recommend!」

「Had the most wonderful stay here, amazing staff and catered for our gluten free requirement with a delicious, huge breakfast. Extremely comfy bed with beautiful decor, and effective air conditioning. Walking distance to the best, most vibrant area of Newport. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We would recommend emailing with any special requests separately as they did not seem to be receiving messages we sent through Expedia.」
