"It was the most beautiful spot of natural beauty right on the Ashley River and a half hour from Charleston. The architecture was stunning and allowed us to feel like we were in nature whether we were in our bed, at breakfast, or in the Lodge, thanks to the oversized walls of glass in all buildings. Hammocks hanging in trees were inviting and helped us have the most relaxing retreat from the hectic pace life often demands. Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Hot breakfasts daily at the Lake House were delicious and the complimentary offerings at the Lodge for Happy Hour and the Nightcap every evening were unexpected surprises. We are booking another stay later this summer even though we just got home to Greenville 3 days ago. The only recommendation I have is to ask for a first floor room if walking up a long flight of cement steps would be a challenge."

"This place was amazing, with lots of things to do and games for everyone to play with. The house is beautifull. The kitchen is very well equiped with everything you need and even a few extra unexpected items. Everything was really clean and organized. Too bad it was raining all Saturday, but we are very thankful that the host offered to do a late check-out so we could spend some time in their great backyard on Sunday. They were always comunicating with us and answering very quickky, even when some of our questions were a hit silly. :-D"

"This was not my clean at all. It definitely needed a deep cleaning. A lot of dust and dirt on walls, food in the chair cushions, dirty fans and food splatters on the kitchen cabinets. It served its purpose for us. The owner was easy to work with and the property was older but nice area. We did enjoy watching the alligators in the water. The screened in porch was nice in the mornings and evenings. Overall, it could use some tlc -"

"Came down for a weekend trip in Charleston, and had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and perfect for 1 or 2 people. Shawn was very accommodating and not intrusive in the slightest. The air conditioning was iffy at times since the standalone unit was frozen to 73-74 F but a very minor complaint. Easy access to Charleston (30 mins). Would recommend to solo travelers!"
