「Lovely staff and welcoming. Comfy and well equipped bedroom. Everything in refillable containers was a nice touch. Remote location and stark landscape with nothing else around but good base for touring.」

「The room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfy, the hosts are lovely and friendly and very talkative and they offer lots of knowledge about walks and activities in wales and have leaflets avaliable with information about activities. The hosts were also very quick to help with anything that was needed. Also the breakfast was amazing and there was lots of options to choose from」

「Pet-friendly BUT you need to know that the guesthouse is just a small part of a large caravan and camping site. There’s also a field of horses. Guesthouse clients with dogs are only allowed in rooms accessible from the outside; we weren’t allowed inside the building. So my room opened directly onto the access road, with all the mud and noise that comes from all the traffic, walkers, and horses that passed in front of the door and small window. 「Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.」
