"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"My wife and I were very impressed with Barbara’s hideaway. The cottage was clean, functional, and out of the way but still fairly close to all the wonderful little towns and chateaus in the valley. The private pool was a treat and we felt like we were the only people around for miles yet Barbara was there anytime we had a question. We were the first quests from the United States so we hope Barbara sees many more. You will not be disappointed. C’était génial"

"We had a lovely stay here, the propeety is truly amazing and beautiful. It has everything you need and is really well located for Fontevraud and Montsoreau. The check in process was seamless and we were greetd with pmenty of usefull information. The proerty is so nice its like somthing from a story book."

"Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel. L'accueil est inadmissible : une fois la réservation effectuée, en arrivant après 18h, un numéro est affiché pour contacter le personnel, mais personne ne répond. Le logement est sale, avec des moisissures partout, des odeurs d'égouts, et on entend des bruits de souris dans les murs. "The setting with three separate areas (gîtes) but with the ability to have meals together both in a sheltered outside place and inside in the largest gîte was wonderful! Sam and Mark we're perfect hosts with just the right amount of friendly interaction. "The reception was outstanding. We arrived early and were made to feel most welcome. The room is large, modern and lovely. Everything is first class, bedding, towels , etc. Breakfast was great and plenty of options. The hotel is a pleasant short walk from the old town centre. Parking is very limited but not an issue. There always seems to be free street parking right outside the hotel. A lovely stay all round."

5 Star Stay in Hotel de Ffance

"We first stayed at this hotel in 1986 and gave re-visited several times since. The location is fantastic right in the centre and beside the public car park and lift up to the chateau. The hotel has been renovated and extended over the years and is now even has a roof terrace for chilling out in after a days touring/cycling. The owners have changed over the years and the current owners, Romain & Romain, are wonderful friendly hosts, as are the rest of the hotel staff, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again. "
