The Space:

Bring the entire family and have fun in this cute 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in the heart of Merritt Island! This peaceful 1,200 sq ft single-family retreat is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and offers something for everyone to enjoy. Inside, you’ll find updated appliances (including a gas stove), a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy coastal-inspired décor that makes the home feel warm and welcoming. The open layout is perfect for gathering, cooking, and relaxing after a day of adventure.



Outside, unwind on the back patio with a cocktail as the sun sets over the canal, or slip into the private hot tub for a peaceful soak under the stars. Guests can also take the kayaks out and explore the locally famous Sykes Creek right from the backyard! The fenced-in yard provides privacy and plenty of space for the family to relax. With world-famous Cocoa Beach just 10 minutes away and Kennedy Space Center nearby, you’ll never run out of things to do. Even Disney World and Universal Studios are only about an hour away, making this the perfect home base for your Space Coast adventure!

The Neighborhood:

Merritt Island is located on Florida's largest island, which serves as the home of NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Meet an astronaut, enjoy the automated thrills of the Shuttle Launch Experience and explore other interactive displays.



Disney World, Universal Studios and Island of Adventure are all within an hour’s drive.



Wildlife lovers and birdwatchers: be sure to check out nearby Banana River, a 31-mile lagoon with salt marshes, oyster beds and mangrove swamps that are home to dolphins, manatees, blue herons and more.



Getting Around:

Plenty of space for on site parking. Very close to SR528 and SR520 intersections that will each get you anywhere you want to be quickly. (Orlando is less than 40 min away)



Uber and Lift are prevalent and efficient in the area as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the house is in close proximity to everything. The kitchen has absolutely any utensil or small appiance that you may need to prepare a home cooked meal. To date, probably the best kitchen in any place we have stayed. Our dog was so relaxed he would even bask in the sun out in the backyard all by himself. That's a first. Usually while on vacation he requires to be glued to our side.Any time I had a question and would reach out to the owner, the response was almost immediate of which I greatly appreciate and SUPER friendly too. I never felt that I was bothering someone.

Would stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay here. A nice, quaint house perfect for our family and dogs for the week. Fenced in back yard, screened in porch and fully stocked kitchen. They even had a beach wagon available to use.

Beach Getaway

Arrived to the most relaxing beach house. The home was equipped with everything neccessary for our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and easily accessible to main roads. If we had a question, response was quickly returned. Would gladly rebook if we ever visit the area again.

Terrible Customer Service

Home was as the pictures indicated. The hot tub was unusable. The management company told me it had not been operational for over a year and should not have been listed. Blamed it on VRBO. It was a factor in choosing this particular property. The HVAC system did not work. We were in the house Thursday through Monday. The inside temperature was in the low 60s most of the time. I contacted VRBO, management company and the host. Two different repairmen came and looked at the HVAC but no one fixed the problem. Everyone pointed fingers at someone else. And I didn't mention to them that all of the remotes that we could find for the inside televisions needed batteries. This property is horribly managed by Beachside Vacation Rentals! I was told several times that I'd get a partial refund for my trouble, but have not received anything. This is my first bad experience with VRBO.

Kitchen Delight

We are an early-60s couple; had a 12-day stay in mid-August; property worked great for us. We entertained two other couples with us the first week and our grown son the second week. If you like to cook in on vacation this kitchen is FANTASTIC. Probably the best equipped we have ever rented with a newer gas range, dishwasher, and practically all kitchen appliances you can think of with plenty of serving dishes and utensils and abundant storage and counter space. We are sure the combined kitchen, dining, and entertainment space would work well for most families (plus there is a high chair and portable crib with the property). One couple brought a dog and the back yard was very pet friendly. No surprise it was hot so we did not use the outside porch area much but can guess it could get use other seasons. Back bar area includes a mini-fridge that is great for keeping beverages icy cold. Pergola with grill worked great but did not use hot tub. Some beach stuff including a beach wagon (very useful) and umbrella. Kayaks are available but the canal is not easily accessible at the home. We rent bikes during our stays; location within biking range of Cocoa Beach if you bike commute/enjoy a 5-mile ride. Bedrooms and baths were more than adequate with plenty of linens and pillows, plus bonus beach towels too. We did provide some maintenance notes to the owner for some nuisance items but we still give the property 5 stars. Would stay again with maintenance items done.

Perfect lil stay

We rented this place to stay at before our cruise left two days later. This location is super convenient to the cruise terminals and made our morning of the cruise super easy. We saw manatees, dolphins, a stingray and even an Alligator in the canal! We spent so much time staring at the water and watching what was coming next. This was a true highlight for our family who flew in from the Midwest. The house itself was comfortable, way better than cramming 7 people into a couple hotel rooms. We were about 10-15 minutes from the beach, very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Could be nice but.......

This could be a nice house for your stay but where to begin..... 1) the yard was WAY overgrown 2) the house was FILTHY - hair in the tub in the front bath, dirt under all the fixtures, bugs hanging off the screens for the porch out back, that area hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS, if the floors had been swept I sure don't know when, and don't get me started on the smell and the shape of the garage & laundry area 3) the beds in both 'spare' bedrooms desperately need to be replaced. the master was fine, but the others? good luck 4) there were issues with 3 of the TV's - we couldn't get any apps to load and they had to bring a ROKU for the main TV in order to get it to work now, all of that being said, I can't recommend the Property Mgr. enough. he was ALWAYS very nice, was prompt with his responses, got anything we complained about fixed, and was nice enough to refund our cleaning fee (since we ended up cleaning the joint ourselves) the location was good, close to things, not a huge drive to the beach, and we didn't have any issues with the neighbors or traffic. the applicances are nice enough, there were plenty of hangers in the closets - but instructions for some things would have been good. I'm not a Keurig person - I do drink coffee - but I could not figure out to work the one they had there. Knobs on the dressers would come off, some lamps worked, just little things that while not huge annoy you when you're spending ALOT of money to have a vacation. We're not rookies at this, we've been renting houses on VRBO for quite a few years, but this one was a huge disappointment. We left two days early to head back to a resort, our choice, but that should tell you something......

Great Location

This property was ideal for us as we could enjoy being on a canal without worrying about our little one because of the fence. The house was in the heart of Merritt Island so convenient to everything. We saw dolphins in the canal daily and the fishing was great! The house was comfortable and decorated nicely. We will definitely consider this property for future visits!
