The vacation rental is located in the heart of Melk’s Old Town—between the impressive Melk Abbey, towering high above the town, and the picturesque Danube. Fischergasse leads directly to the historic Danube riverbank, where the shipmasters once resided.

Today, cyclists set off from here on the famous Danube Cycle Path or enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the Wachau region. Just a few steps away, you’ll find cozy cafés, such as the popular Café Central or the Rathauskeller Café with its lovely outdoor seating area. For culinary highlights, I recommend the Restaurant Zur Post or the Koloman at Melk Abbey. Of course, no visit to the Wachau is complete without a glass of regional wine—for example, at the surrounding wine taverns in Spitz or Weißenkirchen.
