Meko is a lovely, contemporary house in an exceptional location for a visit to Melbourne. Nestled in a quiet leafy street, yet a short stroll to the adored Lygon Street Carlton, bursting with cosmopolitan cafes, restaurants, shops and cinemas. Very close to Melbourne University. Walk or take a short ride in a tram or bus to the city.

Excessive noise in the immediate area of the accommodation including the street, garden and balconies will also not be tolerated. Attractive and easy to stay in. Very spa ious living area and really great to have a garage a d washing machine. Loved the little balcony. Comfy beds, quite quiet for such a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

Meko is perfectly set up and offers a lovely base to explore Melbourne. Close enough to walk into the city, but in the midst of lovely bars and restaurants in Carlton. The property is nicely scaled with all the amenities you need and even a lovely balcony to sit out on. Really enjoyed it the space with Katrina being very helpful when contacted.

This property is one of the nicest we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot using this type of website. The actual property is gorgeous with every possible need catered for. We have never had the variety of utensils and products available and really appreciated the welcome pack left for us. Located in the quieter Carlton area but with restaurant and the tram literally 150 yards from the front door. Don't bring a large car it won't fit in the garage but you really don't need one. Thank you again.

Amazing property in a superb and convenient location. We could not fault anything. Katrina is a wonderful host who is easy to communicate with. The location of the beautiful property is perfect for lazy strolls up Lygon Street where you can choose from an array of restaurants. You will not go hungry!!! The Clyde pub provides great pub fare and is also within easy walking distance. Public transport is at your door. The townhouse is spacious, quiet and extremely comfortable. Can’t rate it enough. Thank you it was perfect.

My husband and I stayed at "Meko" for 11 nights while attending the Australian Open. We were extremely happy with our accommodations. The apartment was spotless, the rooms were bright and airy, and Katrina could not have been more helpful. Check in and check out were easy and Katrina answered any questions we had immediately. The location is wonderful: it's in an Italian neighborhood with excellent restaurants a stone's throw from the unit. It's also an easy five minute walk to the tram, which takes you (sometimes slowly) right into the center. A wonderful accommodation. We could not have been more pleased.

The 4 of us encountered Cyclone Kirrily on our trip and had to do an about face with our plans. Contacted Katrina and were able to add extra days ahead of our booking with a couple of quick emails. The condo's 2 bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms were equally appointed and suited each couple completely. We couldn't help but notice how many touches there were to make the stay easier for travelers. We loved the vibe of the neighborhood with its places to eat and shop. We used the tram pretty much every day and the location of a station a few blocks away made it easy to get around. We made a couple of outreach calls to Katrina and knew we had a friend nearby. We feel so lucky to have found a gem like Meko in our search for places to stay in Melbourne.

Everything previously stated is absolutely correct. This place is in a great location, the host is friendly and very responsive, the house is comfortable and has everything you would need for a stay of any length. The upstairs/downstairs aspect is great if you have kids as you can put them to bed and go about your evening without disturbing them. The washer and dryer come in very handy as you can pack less and simply do wash whilst there. Having them be two units makes it a faster process as well. The Carlton location is amazing as you are less than a five minute walk to Woolworth's for all your grocery needs, a terrific bakery for your morning purchases and a few ice cream places after an excellent meal out at one of the many, many, many excellent restaurants along Lygon. The 1 or 6 tram lines to the CBD are about a two minute walk and makes it easy to get there. It's about a 15 minute ride. Keep that in mind if you're booking tours that will leave from the CBD. Plus, you can then get to one of the main train stations if needed. We would absolutely stay here again if we were lucky enough to make a return trip to Melbourne.
