"Free parking, clean room, great staff. Stayed here with my dog, no issues. There’s a few patches of grass outside for him to stretch his legs and do his business. Can’t beat this place for what it is: convenient, budget accommodation done well. Unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits candle in reception, alongside sweets, lollipops and dog treats. A great little stay!"

"This hotel needs some serious TLC, room was just tired with water leak stain on the celling. Chairs in the room and breakfast hall were rocking quite wildly. Breakfast was good - recommended. Parking was convenient. This hotel needs renovation."

"Absolutely idyllic spot, with gorgeous pastoral views across the village church and rolling hills. Cosy and warm even though we were staying in sub zero British wintertime temperatures! The character features of the building were so appealing to us as antipodeans. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was sparkling clean, the welcome basket of biscuits and wine much appreciated . Would not hesitate to come again. "

"Beautiful cottage in an amazing setting - ideal for people who don’t want to use their cars once there! Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. They took time to help. They don’t reply to WhatsApp for Hours tho they say to contact you there. Some improvements needed there to make it seamless please 🙏"

"My sister and I had a lovely time , weather was good for the whole time we were there. The cottage was very comfortable and we had everything we needed and is situated not far from places we wanted to visit.The village it’s in is a bit noisy with traffic and the parking on the road was impossible, lucky for us the pub across the road was closed due to a fire so we could park in there overflow car park which was a godsend."
