Nice business themed hotel at a very nice location

The hotel staffs were very welcoming during my check in, despite on a last minute reservation (booked around 6pm, check in the hotel around 10pm on the same day). We stayed in 2 twin rooms for a party of 6 (2 adults, 2 youths, and 2 children aged 6 and 3).

Nice in Matsumoto

Great location right across from the train station. Room was quiet. Loved having a grocery store. There were not a whole lot of restaurants near the hotel, but it was a good place to stay.

The room was very spacious and there was lots of desk and counter space to spread out. However, it was an older hotel, and the lighting in the bathroom was poor. There was also a strange smell in the room (like old cigarette smoke or cooking odor), and the window would not open all of the way, but I was able to crack the window and let some air in. The view from my room was top-notch of the mountains, which I enjoyed!
