About this property

2 Bed in Matlock (oc-92639)

  • Sitting in an area of outstanding beauty, and enjoying stunning elevated views, this lovely property is the perfect retreat for four people. With a blended offering of vibrant places and decadent walks from the front door, there is so much to explore on your doorstep such as Lea Rhododendron Gardens in springtime (1.1 miles), and the war memorial known as Crich Stand (3.5 miles). Just 3 miles away is the Great British Car Journey, where car lovers can explore the history of some of the greatest cars made, and on the same site, the White Peak Distillery offers pre-booked tasting experiences. Vibrant Matlock Bath, with its cable cars, lovers walk, arcades and Gulliver’s Kingdom is a little over 4 miles away. There are unique and independent shops just a little further down Dale Road into Matlock, and plenty of places to eat and enjoy. Beautiful walks are abundant in this area, from circular walks around Riber Castle, Lumsdale Valley Loop, or why not have a peaceful stroll by Cromford Canal.

They often say that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and as you enter the kitchen and dining space, you will see that this is a wonderful space to gather. There are little nods to the history of the building, while still being a modern and comfortable bolthole. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of storage and a lovely island to create more worktop space. The living room is a beautifully light room, with the benefit of patio doors so you can fully appreciate the wonderful views that this property has. A wood burner makes for a cosy and ambient evening on cooler nights, and throughout the property there are lovely colour accents to compliment the fresh, Mediterranean style décor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one offering a king-size bedroom and the other a double bed, both with handmade oak bed frames. The shower room completes the property. From the landing, you can see the childhood home of Florence Nightingale, and truly appreciate the wonderful setting that this lovely property sits in.

Outside on the patio, you can enjoy the scenic space, with an outside dining area providing the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, or relax after a day’s exploring. There is designated parking next to the property.
