Despite many excellent VRBO experiences, we never checked into this property and have been unable to reach the management.
We found this property in such appalling shape an so different from its listing that we found another place to stay at the very last minute and left. We had to change plans completely for this trip as a result. We are requesting a full refund for this stay through VRBO.
--The property was not anything like it was described in the listing
--There was garbage strewn around the front doorway, chicken bones, old food, and open garbage bags
--The property smelled moldy and foul
--The person who met us, Francisco, was dismissive of our concerns, then became angry, then became very aggressive, including to our children, and drove off without resolution after he understood that we would not check in to the property
--When we asked if the garbage could be cleaned up or if he had a broom, he simply pulled a broom from the closet and left it leaning against a wall for us to clean up the garbage with
--Fransisco's tour of the property began with him telling us that we may have trouble with the electricity, and if we did we should check the electrical panels
--One of the toilets was full of hair and had not been cleaned --There were dozens of mosquitoes inside the property
--Light bulbs were missing from lamps
--The air conditioning in two of the rooms did not work
--There was a chair in the living room with no cover on it, just cushion foam
--The tiny parking space was not possible to park our vehicle in
A disaster. The worst experience we could imagine.
