"We had a family room, it was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. The adjoining room with the bunk bed was very spacious. This is an old building, so no elevator and narrow corridors but we had help with our luggage up the stairs. Location is adjacent to the pedestrian area (lovely for a walk around) and parking is off-site about 5 min walk away. There is a bar and restaurant on-site and the food was good. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a fruit and cereal buffet and hot items to order from the menu. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"Fantastic location and sense of being in a special place. Room was in annexe but that was fine, just a short walk across car park, and was reasonably spacious with efficient lift. Staff could not have been more helpful whether cheerfully bringing more tea at breakfast or dealing helpfully with enquiries at reception. If coming by car, parking seems tricky. We had to go to nearby paid (£5 for 24 hours) car park but we're fortunate to get a hotel space on day 2. Swimming pool is a great extra facility, especially when quiet "

"We had the most amazing bank holiday weekend staying at this lovely B&B in Keswick! As two friends who love hiking, it was the perfect base for exploring the Lakes. The location couldn’t have been better – close to beautiful trails, stunning views, and the town centre for a well-earned meal after a long day out. The room was spotless, cosy, and really comfortable – exactly what you need after a day on the fells. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, giving us great tips on walks and local spots we might have otherwise missed. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight – fresh, delicious, and set us up perfectly for our hikes. You can tell a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home. We honestly had such a fab weekend and didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly place to stay in Keswick – especially if you’re planning some outdoor adventures!"

We enjoyed a very nice evening meal but were disappointed there was no hot drinks available afterwards. Not easy to park for larger vehicles."

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty of loungers. Looking forward to our next stay. "
