I really love this hotel because of its location & that it is dog friendly but the beds & pillows are horrible. All of my pillows had a weird "manly" odor very musky. The beds are worn out. I do have to say the staff here is super friendly & welcoming. Every time I come here they raise the parking fee. Its pretty outrageous to charge $40/night for YOUR parking lot. I would understand if it wasn't on property. Also, the market in the lobby is WAY OVER PRICED. I recommend to bring your own drinks & snacks. The rooms have bar fridges. The restaurant has pretty decent food but again way overpriced for their offerings.

I enjoyed my stay at the Claremont. The front desk and Concierge were welcoming. Hats off to Effie! My classic room was on the 7th floor. I could see the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges through my dormer window. The updated bathroom was roomy and bright; the bedroom spacious and comfortable. Proximity to College Avenue led to good dining, and closeness to UCB made trips there a breeze. Having lived near the Hotel in the past, I was pleased to finally stay there.

Makra and Alana are the best. They made my stay exceptional.

Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Great place for the price.
