"No hot water for showering and not very clean. Electricity was lost for an hour and our key card was needed to get in the pool and outs wouldn’t work! Terrible experience and would not stay there again!!"

"If you enjoy history, you will love this house. It had an authenticity that many places try to manufacture, from the appliances, pictures on the wall, furniture, and down to the records, and books. We ventured to New Iberia and the surrounding area a lot (Jefferson Island, Avery Island, Lake Fausse, Parish Brewery). I highly recommend Rip Van Winkle gardens, and my husband recommends Ghost in the Machine beer from Parish. The owner, Peter, was very kind and responsive, and Leroy, the caretaker, was friendly and gave us a view into the history of the area. One thing to consider, if you go during Sugar Cane harvest season there will be noise. The processing mill is almost right across the street."
