"There is no front desk, contrary to what is advertised. It seems like there has been a change of ownership or management as there was not the warm and supportive welcome that other reviews report. The communication was confusing, and frankly appalling. When got there my documents were demanded by a woman who hardly spoke a word of English, she was just there to let me in and give me the keys. She then demanded payment. After trying to explain and providing a receipt to prove see then put me on to someone who I assume is the current manager. She wanted a photo of my receipt sent to her. She laughed about the woman on reception who had no English. I also had to request a voucher for breakfast as that had not been mentioned. She initially denied breakfast was part of the deal, but later arranged for vouchers to cover my stay. The room itself was good and comfortable, though it is essentially a bed, sink and shower. It is well serviced each day. The people from the other rooms seemed to all be business men. Which might suggest they have changed their focus, but not their advertising."

"An excellent hotel right in the centre. The valet parking service was a great help. The room was clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and very keen to offer help. Breakfast had a good range of fresh, quality food. I don’t think you are going to do better than this hotel in the centre of Marsala. Just be prepared for a bit of a drive around the town to find it the first time you arrive. The only thing I would suggest would be a few little pots of milk to go with the tea in the room."

"This property is located in a very quiet area with not much to see in the immediate vicinity so you need a car if you want to visit the surrounding area. The hotel itself is small and lovely. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area is a great place to just chill out. It is nice to wake up and see the olive trees outside. The onsite restaurant has a delicious breakfast and tasty dinner options. The staff was definitely the highlight for us. Everyone was so warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to stay at the Baglio Custera again. Many thanks to Ettore, his brother Eugenio (may not have gotten this name correct) and their Dad Giuseppe for making our stay a memorable one in only good ways. And we cannot forget Brigitte who is an excellent baker and made sure all our needs were met at breakfast. The rest of the staff, from the restaurant servers to the cleaning staff were all so friendly and made us feel at home. Thank You to all for a lovely stay at your lovely hotel."

"Beautiful, well-maintained hotel in a wine growing area of Sicily. The restaurant and wine tasting were fun and high quality. Our only complaint was that the hotel was very hard to find, even with GPS. Also the wifi did not work."
