Nous recommandons fortement le Riad Balkisse. Personnel agréable, à l’écoute et pleins de conseils sur le séjour. Le Riad est très bien situé dans la médina. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et complet. Rien à dire !

Our trip to Morocco through this place was magical. We stayed for ten days, which included breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, and every day, Um Halima prepared the food. Her meals were incredibly delicious. We thank her so much for the chicken tagine with onions and all the other dishes. The hospitality was outstanding, especially Abdul Rahman. When he poured the Moroccan tea, he made us feel the culture so deeply. We indulged in the mint aroma, and it was unforgettable. This historic hotel is truly magical, especially when you wake up early in the morning and go up to the roof and hear the birds chirping. Every detail was perfect. I highly recommend this place.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits au Riad Balkiss! L’hergement est super bien positionné par rapport à la médinas, aux souk et aux lieux à visiter!! Les responsables de l’hébergement étaient tous super sympathiques! Rien à dire! Les chambres étaient biens, cependant l’unité de climatisation était dans mon unité coulait à flos. Ça rendait la chambre vraiment humide et me dérangeait durant la nuit! De plus des motos circulent la nuit dans la ruelle et ça pétarade fort!! Prévoyez des bouchons. Mais dans l’ensemble c’était très bien!

O primeiro quarto que nos deram era razoável, mas tem uma janela sem cortina sobre a cama, que o deixa claro toda a noite e além disso, se ouve todo o barulho da rua, não conseguimos dormir a noite toda. Soliciamos a troca e nos deram um pior, em termos de instalação, mas pelo menos, era mais silencioso

Truly had a wonderful experience here at Riad Balkisse Hajar and Ousma were great managers who went above and beyond during our stay. In particular Hajar even plan a surprise Birthday event for me with my friends when she found out that we were there as a birthday trip. It was very thoughtfully of her and shows amazing Moroccan hospitality!

Upon my arrival to Riad Balkisse, they told me they were putting me in a different riad (Riad Chalymar) and that it is "the same thing." This property was very deep into the alleyways and on a dead end. For a group of girls, this location felt completely unsafe – we had to have some guy friends walk us back at night, and there actually ended up being a group of men in the alley leading to the riad who harassed us. Had we not felt too scared to leave, we would have stayed elsewhere. It is actually disgusting that a riad could call such a poor, unsafe location "the same thing." Besides the location, the riad that we were placed in was dimly lit and extremely humid (the bedsheets felt damp). Our window did not bolt shut (someone could just open it from the hallway), and our door did not close fully, and a tiny padlock keeps the bolt on the door locked, all of which are unsafe and not secure. The only good part was that the guy working there was pretty friendly.

This place has totally SCAMMED us. If you are planning to visit morocco, DO NOT book this place. We were 4 travelers with a baby.They did not give us the room we booked at the first place. We arrived morocco little late because of the time differences, we even sent them our flight information still they did not hold the rooms for us. This place does not even have air conditioner that works properly .They took us to a small tiny congested room and asked us to stay there for the night which was impossible. They completely refused to give us the refund and I have no idea how in the world they are doing this business as they are not professional with their guests. ANOTHER SCAM - They wanted us to book their transportation which they asked for double money. We took taxi from the airport and the price was less cheaper than the hotel staff offered us. We did not even ask for transportation and let me make it clear- we DID NOT cancel the booking. They DO NOT have any proof that we cancelled the booking for our rooms, because we did not cancel the rooms booking. And the transportation is completely voluntary , it is not something required by the hotel. Plus based on the texting we were not even sure if actually we are talking to the right people.NOW they are trying to make us the bad people here while they are one tried SCAM us every way that could.I absolutely refused to give them recommendation to other tourists and I highly prefer other tourists to AVOID booking this unprofessiona

The Riad is in a very convenient location, a few minutes walk from many of the tourist attractions. It is located down an alley, as are most of the Roads, but not once did I feel unsafe getting to or from there. The staff are exceptional, always helpful, often going above and beyond their duty. I really cannot recommend this place enough. I will be returning there on my next visit.

Bonito, cómodo y bien situado

Es un bonito Riad muy bien situado, a escasos metros de la famosa plaza Jemaa el-fna. Las habitaciones son amplias y tienen baño incorporado, armarios empotrados, calefacción y aire acondicionado. En la última planta hay una terraza donde puedes relajarte tomándo un té. Nosotros nos comprábamos todas las noches la cena y la tomábamos allí. A destacar la amabilidad del propietario, el cual habla perfectamente inglés y frances y alguna cosilla de español. Lo único malo es que el primer día es muy difícil de encontrar, al final hay que acabar preguntando a algún lugareño que seguro os acopañará y al que tendreis que "agraceder" con un par de euros.

Fantastic riad with a fantastic staff. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. The location of this riad is exceptional. I stayed in 2 riads during my stay in Marrakech, and this is the one I would return to again due to the location. I had a lovely room on the top terrace floor. I was hoping to have a view of Koutoubia Mosque, but there is not a view from the main terrace. I highly recommend this riad for the location and the staff.

Great Riad in Marrakech

Our first time in Morocco. Read Balkisse was great! They arranged a ride from the airport then met us outside when the driver got to the hotel. They offered us drinks when we arrived and showed us to our rooms. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but nice and very much what I think of when I hear Morocco. It is centrally located near a lot of restaurants and shopping areas, it seems kinda scary at night in that area but it's really not. The hotel arranged a tour for us to the Cascades waterfall and it was an amazing, and cheap, day trip, best part of the time in Morocco. If we ever got back to Marrakech we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Lovely riad right by the main square

We had a fabulous time staying in Riad Balkisse. Location is excellent (2 mins from the main square), but it was cool and peaceful inside, a perfect contrast to the hot, noisy streets. The staff were so friendly and helped us to plan our days out and trips out of Marrakesh, and made us plenty of delicious mint tea. A special shout-out to Simon who made us feel very welcome and looked after us so well!

Comfortable, clean, well located !

The staff members were really nice and helpful. Everything in the riad was clean and spotless, the location was a good point, very close to Jama-El-fna. The breakfast was Rich and yummy : handmade morrocan crepes, cake, yoghurt and fresh fruits ! We enjoyed our time there very much and can definitely recommend this place.
