Marco Island is definitely a resort/condo on the beach/boat friendly community. This is a beautiful, roomy and well-stocked home on a canal in the middle of the island. The house in a nice, quiet central location. It was very clean and comfortable for our group of six adults and our dog, with room to spare! The kitchen, laundry and storage areas had everything you could possibly need, so no need to pack all the extras! The dock with the covered tiki hut and grill was a great place to hang out and we spent most of our time under the lanai at the pool. Only two issues: The management team was very responsive, during office hours, however, those are limited and you risk a hefty fine if you contact them for non emergency issues outside of those hours. I understand the policy, but they are closed Sat/Sun (the day of check-in/check-outI) and only open 10-5 Mon-Fri. As a former property owner/renter myself, I can’t imagine being available to my guests during these two key times for guests, especially when paying a hefty management fee in addition to everything else (cleaning, pet, pool, using a credit card for payment, etc….) I highly recommend renting a golf cart! The beach is NOT a four min. drive/10 min. walk!! It is an 8 min drive (per Waze), 10 min. bike ride and closer to a 30 min walk. Public parking is $10-$15/per day, depending on which public lot you choose, it’s EXTREMELY limited and absolutely no parking on the streets. This was disappointing, especially since so many of
