Gulfview is Terrific

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Gulfview for all it has to offer - location, beautiful view, easy beach access, lovely pool, pickleball and friendly people. The breeze off the gulf is wonderful. Unit 711 is nicely remodeled. It was clean upon our arrival. Marco Island Vacation Properties are responsive and easy to work with. All good, EXCEPT: the guest bedroom mattress is horribly uncomfortable, the sofa is very dirty, and the living room TV doesn’t always work. We’re not renting this unit again because of the horrible guest bedroom mattress. We tried to resolve this issue by asking that a quality pad be added to the top of the mattress, and our rental agent said the owner was non-responsive. So, if you won’t have anyone staying in the guest bedroom, I recommended this unit. But for the in-season 2 bed 2 bath unit rental price, I expect to be able to use both bedrooms comfortably.

Heaven on Earth

This has to be the best vacation ever! The condo was just perfect! The location was right on the beach..beautiful sunrises and gorgeous sunsets. Memories that will last forever! PS.. I do have to give props to Marco Island Vacation Properties..wonderful team of people and Elizabeth was outstanding...thank you!

Reviewer Comments: very nice, upholstered furniture in LR could use a good cleaning but what can you expect of a white sofa in a rental but everything else was very nice & clean even for this Goldilocks - could not have been more comfortable & unit has probably the best view of any in Gulfview or even Marco, Gulfview has best lot on the beach & bldg is very comfortable - Marco Island Vacation Properties staff could not have been nicer - very nice, have i already mentioned that . . .

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived on February 1, at Gulfview 711, around 3:40 (check in was to be 3:00) the cleaning was not complete and the cleaning people asked for an additional hour. We sat at the pool til 4:45 to allow them to finish.When I e mailed MIVP I was told cleaning was done about 4:00 but I highly doubt this as beds weren’t made or kitchen clean when we walked in at 3:40. I was also told there would be no concessions made per rental agreement allowing for unit not to be ready if there is an unforeseen event. I doubt there was an unforeseen event and most likely the cleaning people just had too many units to clean in a day. Another issue with management arose regarding rental for next year. Our 4 year old granddaughter died unexpectantly on 2/21 and we checked out a week early. My husband spoke with an agent on 2/26 and said we were interested in renting February 2019. We have rented the unit for 3 years and were previously given first right of refusal for the following year. When I received no communication on March 1, I e-mailed management on March 2, stating our desire to re-book but received no response. I called on March 5, after the weekend, and was told unit was rented for January and February 2019. As I was confused about no contact re: our decision about 2019, I was told I would receive a phone call from an agent that day. I received no call so e-mailed again on 3/6 and later in the day received a response saying unfortunately reservations were accepted for January and February 2019. We are very disappointed at not being offered the unit after 3 years there and feel the management was unprofessional. We enjoyed our three February months in Gulfview 711.

Reviewer Comments: Rules and regulations were applicable to a select few.It advertises it sleeps4 but there were only 2 chairs for the balcony and 2 chairs for the beach..Most of the management staff were not very friendly .It states no outdoor grilling but after being there for 3 weeks we discovered there was a grill for which you signed up for a time to use it.

Great facilities at building with large pool and surrounding patio. A few item were in need of repair in the unit,which were promptly and effectively addressed by MIVP. Marco is a great vacation area.

Unbelievable view

My husband and I stayed in this condo for a month and had a really nice time. The view alone is worth it. The Gulfview condos on the south side have a spectacular views with sun all day. The condo is very bright and nice. It does not have top of the line furniture and the bed in the master is a little hard. The master closet had a couple of shelves down but I am sure that will be fixed.The kitchen in these units is very small but well equipped and just fine for us. If you really like to cook you may not like it. Luckily I don't care a bit about that. I would recommend it and would stay there again. Thanks for the great break from Wisconsin weather.

The condo has everything you need for a great stay. The kitchen is small but works well unless you are planning to cook big dinners. The condo building and grounds are very well. The bed and pillows are hard but after a day outside I slept like a rock.
