BRAND NEW BUILD! 3- bedrooms with king beds and full size bathrooms, and 1/2 bath for guests. Large common area living room and open kitchen. Located on canal three houses from the ocean, with great open water views. Pool with sitting area under the house. Our home offers a 60' dock with whips to secure your boat. Lighted fish cleaning station, and a step down in dock for easier access to water. We offer kayaks and paddle boards, with a couple of fishing poles. There is a bait freezer, bait pen, cooler, life jackets, and beach chairs for your use.

From our canal it is a straight shot to the ocean where you can enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding on the flats or go out to the small patch reefs and enjoy snorkeling and fishing.
From our canal it is just a 10 min ride to Vaca Cut where you can go to the Bay or to the right and a 20 min boat ride to the world famous 7 Mile Bridge.

We enjoyed a perfect stay at a perfect place. Sandy Flats is wonderful in every way. Impeccably clean, ideally located, luxurious, comprehensively equipped with everything imaginable to enhance your Marathon/Middle Keys experience. There is no way to completely convey how lovely this place is. Lynn and Freida are great hosts, very friendly and accommodating with priceless tips and information about anything you might want to know about the area.The canal and swimming pool were two of the many highlights for us. The pool is the ideal depth, temperature and size for relaxation. It is bright, clean and super fun. The canal is full of fish and connects you to the ocean. The first day we were there a group of five manatees visited us. Over the week, we caught more fish than we could count.The eastern facing balcony gives you a great view of the flats and the sunrise as you eat breakfast made in a beautiful kitchen. The beds are large and very comfortable. We woke rejuvenated and rested every morning to the sounds of lapping water and birds.The shower was great- clean and well-pressured.We literally had no complaints about anything and saw no way to improve anything. It was perfect in every way. Sandy Flats and Marathon feel like the home you are always subconsciously looking for. When we return to the island (as soon as possible), Sandy Flats will be our very first choice for our Florida Keys base-camp, in fact we would adjust our schedule around it's availability.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. Loved the delicious key lime pie from our hosts. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook except the food. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay!

Family Trip

Loved! Exceptional hosts. Not one thing is missing in or outside of this home. Beautiful views, comfortable king beds in each room with its own spacious bathroom. Beautiful kitchen with everything you could ever need. Top of our list and hope to return again. Thank you again, The Schaefers

Marathon Paradise

This property is in a great location, close to local restaurants and just a few houses from the open ocean. We rented a boat for part of our trip and were able to go out to sombrero reef, visit a sandbar, dock up to restaurants and had a great time. The owners were very helpful with information on things to do locally as well as their favorite restaurants. The property was very clean and the pool was an excellent place to relax around. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Marathon!

Wonderful Rental Home!!!

Had a wonderful visit to the Keys. The home is a beautiful new build in wonderful condition with everythingyou will need for your visit. Only negative is the noise from the airport during the day... otherwise it's a super place with responsive and nice owners!

Two Weeks in Marathon

This house was perfect. Everyone had their own space and the views - amazing!! We brought a boat with us and got to fish almost daily. We explored from Key West to Miami and had a fantastic trip.

Awesome stay!

House was just as advertised and a beautiful location that was convenient to the ocean, stores, and restaurants. The owners are very communicative and corresponded with us throughout the trip checking in on things. We had zero issues, however. I would heavily recommend staying at this property, if given the chance. Well worth it!

If you are looking for a great home to stay in and a view you can not go wrong with Sandy Flats. Everything was 5 stars and more!!! Very clean and decor was fabulous!!!! We had any and everything we needed while we were there. The kitchen is stocked well and the host really thought about what you would need to have a great time in Marathon. Wonderful stay

This property was everything we wanted. The house is beautiful, the views are stunning as you can see the Atlantic everywhere you look. We were able to arrive by boat from our home in Southwest Florida, and easily get out on the water whenever we wanted. There were lots of great amenities and even a frozen key lime pie in the freezer welcoming us. I definitely recommend this property.

This place is awesome. Had 3 couples stay here and we all had private king suites with our own bathrooms and an extra 1/2 bath in the main area for convenience. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The pool was fantastic and the host was quick to answer any questions and resolve the 1 small issue we had. They provided paddle boards and kayaks. The place was clean and comfortable. We had a great time.
